Some RBs like Matt Forte, Jamaal Charles and Darren Sproles would argue that point

They can argue it all they want but the simple fact remains, they are RB! Up until it was time to sign a contract Graham was a self proclaimed tight end, playing a majority of snaps lined up as one, and rarely covered by a corner, now wants to be recognized as a WR is just ridiculous. The Saints are making him an offer at 10 mil a year making him the highest paid TE in the league he needs to take the money and get about business.

Hey! You don't have to go all Johnnie Cochran on us. I don't think you're saying anything a true Saints fan will argue with. The only fools that are taking Graham's side in this and believe he should get $12M a year are people who want to see the team take on more salary liability so it will hurt the team in keeping other players.

Be prepared for this annual struggle to sign our top players; it's happening to every team that is paying top dollar for a good (great in Brees' case) QB.

arbitrator is a good name for it...one man deciding the difference in pay between 5 to 10 million dollars a year...definitely arbitrary

not a good system to me

You're really up on all the facts of this whole thing! The numbers are $7.05M vs. $12.3M.

I think you're right about the system used; they should have used the old tried and true method of having him walk across hot coals. If he's a WR, he should be fast enough and agile enough to cross with no problem. If he can't, he's a TE.

If Calvin Johnson, AJ Green, and Dez Bryant where being covered by linebackers at least 50% of the time they would make Jimmy's numbers look pedestrian.

This is my point exactly, he ain't that great and when we really needed him, he vanished into the mediocrity he is.

That's a fact. The average arbitrator is just as competent as any judge. In fact, the arbitrator in the Graham case,Stephen Burbank, is a professor of law at University of Pennsylvania...a very prestigious law school. I guarantee you he knows the law better than 90% of the judges sitting on the bench.
