Summer. I am too hot. Crew cut?

Berhalter said that a USMNT player wants to come to Columbus. There is no way that Mix is actually considering cutting off his marvelous locks because it's too hot... in Norway.

I think this is just Mix being droll after Alexi Lalas hinted that Mix would be signing for the Crew on twitter.

Not sure how it happened but we missed a pretty prominent Ger-merican. Fabian Hurzeler is 21 years old and is currently in Bayern's system and is considered on of their top prospects and has already pledged himself to the U.S.

We didn't miss him. Think he was either sold or loaned to Hoffenheim where he plays on their second team. He's 21 years old, a little old to be playing on reserve teams. He needs to go to a league where he can actually play.

Not considered one of Bayern's top prospects.

I remember hearing about Hurzeler after he captained the German U-17 team. I haven't kept up with him much since then, and he seemed to fall off the radar a bit. Supposedly his mom wanted him to focus on his studies a bit. Also, he's basically our only white Germerican.

Pulisic to Dortmund

Could be a fixture on the USMNT for years to come if he keeps developing

Five year contract. Is that normal for youth players?
quote:

"With a long-term contract in play (five years) and a European passport in his already-ragged travel bag once the paperwork is finalized — his grandfather, Mate Pulisic, is a Croatian native who eventually emigrated to the United States so Christian is attempting to obtain a Croatian passport ..."

Long article on the move here

Definitely stands out in the highlight vids - could be the next Josmer.

I'm not sure who wears #2 @ right back on this team either, but he looks legit. Does anyone know?

• The Columbus-Mix Diskerud deal has had some twists and turns

Columbus thought it had a handshake deal on terms with U.S. international Mix Diskerud, only for his father/agent, Paal, to demand more money at the last second, according to multiple sources. As of Wednesday, the MLS summer transfer deadline, the two sides were still trying to work out a deal but had yet to reach one. A similar situation happened in early 2013 when Diskerud nearly joined Portland, only for talks to break down late in the game.

Diskerud’s contract with Rosenborg runs through the end of 2014. Columbus sits atop the MLS Allocation Order, which is used to distribute U.S. internationals that sign with the league (provided their cost doesn't meet the undisclosed MLS-determined threshold to skip the mechanism).
