Is Aminu any good on defense?

Yeah he's pretty decent

He's extremely athletic and a very good rebounder(3rd in rebound rate at 14.1 and 1st in defensive at 21.1. Offensive was 7.2 top 10) He's was also near the top in 2012.

If he had a jump shot he would be a potential all star.

if Demps doesn't get a legit 3 and brings in anymore 1s or 2s, we'll definitely be the laughing stock of the NBA.

1. He will bring in a SF one way or the other
2. Even if he doesn't, we're still gonna be in contention to make the playoffs if we can stay healthy. Health being the key.

I doubt you could ship them off giving up a 1st rounder...which we don't have. We're stuck with Sandy!

Is it just broke, or he never could shoot?

Well we have to do something. We are over the cap and don't have enough players, I believe.

I was kidding. We don't have a choice but to do...something.

He had one year where he shot like 38% from three somehow and has sucked ever since. Guy can't make a single jumpshot now

He has no business in the NBA besides a bench energy guy.

I wouldn't mind keeping him as this. If he only gets 8-15 minutes per game.

he's probably the best (or at least top 3) rebounding SFs in the game. he plays OK defense. i don't want him in the game in the clutch, though.

There will be at least one SF added to the team within the next 10 days. I'm convinced.

I would love to see the following things happen:

Trade Eric Gordon and Melvin Ely to Wolves and get back Kevin Martin and Chase Budinger.

Trade Austin Rivers, Jeff Withey (more likely candidate), and S&T Aminu to Knicks for Iman Shumpert

Sign Beno Udrih to be backup PG.

It would give us a roster of

Holiday/Udrih/Smith
Evans/Martin
Budinger/Shumpert/Babbitt
AD/Ryno
Asik/Ajinca/Patric Young

I don't know if this is even possible with the salary cap situation, but a guy can dream.

I think the Knicks would want more for Shumpert and the Wolves wouldn't want to give Budinger away.

But those would be great moves for the Pels.

The Suns are expected to throw a Max contract at Gordon Hayward, which would likely mean PJ Tucker is available.

quote:

The Utah Jazz aren't expected to be big players in the upcoming free agency market, which officially opens up Monday at 10 p.m.

But they do have their sights set on two familiar faces.

Gordon Hayward and Marvin Williams.

And Hayward, who earned $11 million in his first four NBA seasons, is about to get a huge pay raise.

The 6-foot-8 restricted free agent is expected to receive a significant contract offer, possibly upwards to a max deal, from the Phoenix Suns this coming week, according to sources.

The problem is that the Jazz will likely match. So that means the Suns will still need to keep Tucker. You'd need to pry him away quickly.

And here I was just a few days ago laughing my arse off at Bill Simmons when he suggested that Gordon Hayward would get a max offer from someone.

I couldn't believe it. Still can't to be honest.

Hayward is good, but a max deal?
