Based on what MM has told us and the fact that Roberts wasn't mentioned in the rights renouncement (or did not giving him the QO mean we already renounced him?) I'd say the next move is picking up another voidable contract and/or S&Ting Roberts. Memphis has interest in Roberts, no cap space but trade exceptions to make it work. Our voidables + S&T of Roberts to Memphis as a 3way is enough to complete the Asik trade

Would be really nice if Demps is able to pull this off

I don't recall seeing anyone post that Phoenix had completed a S&T for Isaiah Thomas.

quote:

The Phoenix Sunshave reached agreement on a four-year, $27 million sign-and-trade deal with Sacramento Kings free-agent point guard Isaiah Thomas, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Kings will receive center Alex Oriakhi and a $7 million trade exception in the deal, sources said.

ESPN sources say Rockets appear to be out in pursuit of Luol Deng but remain in the hunt to try to sign Trevor Ariza away from Wizards

ESPN sources also say that Miami is making progress in its pursuit of Luol Deng to team him with Chris Bosh and soon-to-reupped Dwyane Wade

It would be nice if Deng stayed East and the Wiz kept Ariza. Dallas would be stuck at SF and the Rockets would be stuck overpaying Parsons.

If hayward is making 63 mil, i'd like to ask what the people who think we overpaid for tyreke think now.

Just a matter of hours until Carmelo Anthony informs the Knicks of his return on a five-year deal, as @Frank Isola reported this week.

Melo chose the money, and it's hard to blame him, about $54 million difference in NY vs. Chicago.

I'm more than happy to see him stay on a shitty team. Bulls with melo would have been something to see though

If Evans could shoot, he'd be making premier money as one of the best 2 guards in the league

At this point Gordon is better in all facets and can make a shot outside of 5 feet

People still think it. I mean Avery Bradley is making 8mil/yr as well. The 2 guard/combo guard market is very small so you'll be bound to overpay for them.

Damn was hoping we could use him as S&T bait for a serviceable 3.

@daldridgetnt: Anthony Morrow's deal in OKC is 3 years, just more than $10M, with third year player option. He thought hard about returning to Pelicans.

Wish him the best. He's going to a nice fit
