Yea I hope he still ends up a tiger. Can't fault the kid for wanting to make sure he is making the right decision.

Vandy is a high quality program. I love LSU but if I was a blue chip there are several programs that could sway me. Going away for college is a hell of an experience.

Hey, dicknose, quote me the last time I said that about a kid that goes to school on campus and plays on a team with the head coaches son.

Mays is ranked a little to high.
Skilled, but not a tough player.(and that's being kind)

The has a nice game but I think he needs to be on the floor with a lot of scorers to see him at his best, playing at a lower class in school is not helping, his talent are the kind that you let him look at other schools and should be a glue guy at the end of the process you bring in.

He's been tearing it up for Red Storm this summer. He's going to make some program very lucky. I'd be shocked if he's not a Tiger.

Where kids play school ball doesn't matter any more. It is all about the circuit.

The circuit is more like a showcase, in school ball you have to play a more organize way and the games slow down, causing you to use more fundamentals and show mental and physical toughness, I think Mays and B. Sampson are lacking that a lot of times, when they played a guy that was physical or had the same measurements they had off nights.

Lol wut?

He's in 3A, it's not like he's playing in class C, he was possibly the best player as a Sophomore on a State Championship team that is loaded with D1 talent, and he is playing under possibly the best coach in the state. I'd say playing where he is is helping him tremendously

If you need an example of his true worth when Mays returned from foul trouble in the state title game UHigh quickly regained the momentum and led the Cubs back from a deficit with a couple of key baskets and nice assists.

Coming from you.. A football official, he probably isn't as tough as a MLB, but this kid is going into his junior year.. He still is gonna put on another 20 pounds by the time he graduates. What he lacks in bulk, he makes up with being able to jump out of the gym and take anyone in the state to the goal.

I don't know how much high school basketball you follow but skylar mays didn't have any off nights last year. I know when he played us he took 6'5 215 lb Jacob Evans to the goal all game. No off night for him

Woah woah woah. I was completely agreeing with what you were saying until you said "best coach in the state" no stretch is he close to that. But playing with that much talent is really preparing him for his future.
