Getting a known commodity could be alluring. You know exactly what you are getting, and both are Low 1st tier, high second tier, bona fide NBA players.

If the pels could dump Gordon, I really think that they would be the second best option for lbj behind Houston. Maybe the best since the rockets did their thing with a really good sf. They would pretty much be a younger version of the heat with a pg worth a shite. Not saying reke = young wade or ryno = young allen, but similar build and ad can be better than a prime bosh.

Demps has mostly traded uncertainty for certainty the past few years. I don't see why he'd trade a sure B player for any of these potential picks mentioned.

Holiday
Evans
James
Davis
Whoever we insert here.

Not bad IMO.

Jrue would be the best PG he's ever played with.

AD would arguably be the best big man he's ever played with. Imagine LBJ at the 4 and AD at the 5.

I doubt there's any team that could guard Jrue/Tyreke/LBJ/AD. We'd also have some decent depth with Roberts/Rivers/Ajinca/Morrow(if he resigns).

It would be close.

MO Williams PER in Cleveland: 07-09

17.2 48% fg 39% 3pt 17 ppg
16.1 47% fg 44% 3pt 18 ppg

Holiday PER last 2 years:

16.7 43% fg 37% 3pt 19 ppg
17.1 45% fg 39% 3pt 14 ppg

Dream is right. Demps has surprised in the past, but this rumor just doesn't pass the sniff test.

These teams tanked all year to possibly have a chance to trade out of the top 5 in exchange for Eric Gordon duh

I don't think anyone in their right mind would even suggest that. Folks on here are saying that it will take a package deal to get there.

This whole thing doesn't make sense. We traded an injured 1st round Center (Noel) and a 1st round pick this year to get Holiday. Now, some taking heads are speculating we're trying to trade into the top 5 (which will require trading Holiday as part of a package deal, more than likely) to draft an injured Center (Emblid)...sounds like a Dell Demps type move to me.

If we could move EG and had to add Holiday to get a Top 5, I think I'd have to do it. That extra cap space could do wonders if spent properly. You could free up almost $25M a year for the next 2 years in cap space with this move.

My guess with regards to trading jrue would be Monty and demps liking what they saw of reke running the offense.

I agree. There might be another aspect to be considered as well...injury risk. You never know if or when EG might get injured and you have to hope last year was just unlucky circumstances for Holiday. If both miss considerable time next year and the train runs off the track, Monty and Dell will be unemployed.

Gordon + Anderson + Pierre + 2015 unprotected 1st round pick might do it. Philadelphia would make sense in this situation. Parker and Wiggens will both probably be off the board at that point, and I doubt they want to waste another year of their rebuild process on another injured big. Gordon & Anderson would work well with MCW. It all depends on what they think of Exim and Randle.

We're looking to breed our own talent and win in a few years. The rebuild isn't over yet, Hinkie doesn't want to rush it. If Philly is trading, it's probably up. I can't see anything the Pels have that would make Hinkie pull the trigger.
