in the 2014 body it was easy to add options that you wanted after the fact.....I don't know much about the 2015's
I have a 2011 Yukon SLE 4x4 that I picked up used in 2012. The dealer added heated leather and a sunroof...I added factory remote start, fog lights, navigation, oem 20" wheels, power fold signal mirrors, autodim rear view mirror and a backup camera for about 1500 bucks. For 35 grand(at the time) I had a vehicle that would have cost me about 50 grand new. 90,000 miles later it's been a great vehicle, it's nearly paid off and I love it. I have all of the options I want.

We have an '09 LTZ. It's been pretty good, but has had some BS problems it shouldn't have. All of the door handles have been replaced, some more that once due to a design flaw. Engine mounts are problematic on the previous generation models too. I just went in for an oil change & ended up spending $500 extra to replace a busted mount. BUT...mine has 130K miles, so I can't complain too much. I suspect they have tended to these issues on the new models. The only buying advice I have for you is check to see if you qualify for the GM Supplier discount through your employer (1% less than dealer invoice).

I'd like to hear more about this. I've got my sights set on a '10 or '11 Tahoe or Yukon. Would like the ltz fr obvious reasons but all I really "need" is the power fold mirrors (so my wife doesn't rip them off in the garage).
Also, we stopped and looked at one last week and it's amazing how little space there is behind the back seats. A friend has an enclave and it has more room behind its 3rd row seat than a Tahoe.

My husband has a 2015 Tahoe as his company car. I love it, although it took a little while for the new body style to grow on me.

New Tahoe body style has grown on me, but I saw a black Suburban last week and it looks like a damn hearse.
You can get a few packages with the LT for a few grand extra rather than spending the 10 grand for the LTZ.

I would be hesitant to buy the '14 model. You're going to have that initial value drop that comes with any new car purchase, but it's going to be even bigger now that a new body style is out. You used to be able to buy a 2010 and barely be able to tell the difference between a 2014, so the value held up a bit. Not going to happen anymore. And as far as disliking the new body style, I'm not a huge fan, but I said the same thing in 2007 when they came out with the last body style and I love mine now. I have my complaints, but I haven't found a vehicle that I want to buy in it's place for under 70k.
I have a 2011 LT and I really can't see needing anything except for the touch screen. The cooled seats would be nice, but with the remote start, you can have the air conditioning blowing cold air before you get in the vehicle, so it's not that big of a deal. The auto fold mirrors are nice. Adds a lot of walking room under the carport.

Any new vehicle will immediately depreciate when you drive it home. Hopefully the rebates you can get on the 2014 will offset (or greatly reduce) the initial hit.
