I'm not advocating the OP giving the chick free reign of the property, etc. but maybe he could help her find a job and have someone to talk to about things since it seems like she's got no one now.

You say she's the hardest worker you've ever seen yet manipulative and also committed to staying with a convict. I shouldn't have to spell it out, she's on meth. Most meth heads look completely normal until years down the line when they're close to rock bottom. Your property may be an innocent retreat for her and nothing more, she gets a little dopesick and remorseful and wants to be somewhere wholesome. Either way you need to cut the cord, and let the sheriff know whats going on. Meth heads and their SOs will rob you fricking blind.

Like a jiminy cricket. Sounds about right. A fairy tale Disney world some people live in.

From what I gather, she's done nothing to the OP. Maybe I just don't see any harm in helping her find a job and have someone to get a cup of coffee with once a week.

This makes too much sense.

Either way, a completely innocent woman typically doesn't just start dating a guy that ends up in jail. Chances are she was involved in some way with whatever got him in there. I would be tempted to help, but that probably wouldn't be the wise decision. She really just sounds like bad news.

This right here shows that you're lying to yourself.

Seriously.

tricky situation - if there's meth involved, she's done - i'll end any involvement with her in a split second. think she's aware of that i've told i have zero tolerance for drugs

thanks for the opinions everyone

have some work to do

eta: any other opinions welcome if you feel like posting them

Well, this could happen. Some dudes can talk a really good game and are con artists. So, the fact that she may have fell for some cool talking con man isn't beyond the pale.

The PROBLEM is that she actually stayed with him. The minute he went to jail, a reasonable "hard working" woman with 2 kids would have dumped his a$$ before the courtroom doors hit him in the a$$.

I would tell her that she doesn't have any implied permission to be out on your property by herself, and under NO circumstances should you give her that permission. Certainly not any permission to stay there for even a night.

I would make sure you have anything valuable locked up good. Sounds pretty damned suspicious the way she's acting, and where there's smoke, there's fire.

Now, if she wants someone to talk to, by all means help her out with some advice. But if she asks for other shite I would be very very cautious with what you offer.

Put up orange construction fence, that should keep her out of there.

seriously, there is something very off with someone wandering around someone's property without permission. very off. also she is connected to people in jail. you need to make it known in no uncertain terms that she is not to be on the property without your express permission. no exceptions. let her know you have a company that will be watching teh property and the sherriff is in the know. if she can't handle that or can't understand your side of it, then you need to disassociate yourself from her or you will get hurt in more ways that one--personally, financially, maybe legally
this is good advice. if you dont assert boundaries... i ts your own damn fault if something happens

They way you talk about this chick makes it sound that you and her are closer than you are admitting on here. If not, her getting so attached to you should raise major red flags. If you keep this up you are putting yourself in a position to become the newest story on the first 48/swamp murders/or whatever show.

Odds of this being the right answer are at least 75%. Probably got a little shake and bake lab hidden somewhere on your place.

If it isn't meth (and it probably is) and she is serious about the suicidal thought, someone is going to find her becoming one with nature on your land one day.

Odds are 1 in 100 or worse that she's 'just getting away from it all'.

wow, aren't you cynical

it's not a troll

answer your questions:

my age? none of your business
am I gay? no
where does she live? she had to move in with her mom
income? i have no idea
female cousin? lives in texas now
woman in my life? I'm happily single at the moment

No, not cynacal..just honest..

Your age does matter, because something is WAAAYYYY off with the story. And to give you advise, we need to know what demographic we are talking to.

Did you talk to her mother? Why is BF in jail? Do you personally know the BF? How?
