Play H3

I still find games relatively easy in MLG, dubs, TS, and lots of people still play social. I'd play Halo: CE Anniversary before I put H4 back into my Xbox.

We try 3 some. Normally takes forever to get matched. And when we do we are so rusty in 3 that we just get railed

All of his points about the simplicity of it are spot on as well. It's what I've been saying since H4 was released.

Everyone starts on the same page. There are no advantages given to someone who has played 5 billion hours, compared to a noob. The only thing you've got going in is your skill.

There are no weapon unlocks. You want a shotty? Go to where it spawns and fight for it.

I'd be happy with them going back to the Halo 3 system of equipment use. The bubble shield and shield drainer were legit.

Again, none of the weapon unlocks were OP, and the armor was just aesthetic. Playing a long time really didn't help much.

Dude, loadouts were a drastic change in Halo. You can spawn with active camo. In classic Halo games, if you want camo, you earn it. You time it's respawn. Now say, in H4, you get an ordinance drop (sniper) you all of a sudden have camo with sniper. This was very frustrating in my very short time playing Halo 4. This is only one very small example.

This is irrelevant. Level playing field from the start is the way it should be.

I'm perfectly okay with change in Halo. Hell, Halo 2 was a drastic change from CE. I just don't like changes to the core mechanics. No sprint is very important. Having descope back is huge. Weapons spawning like they did in the past over terrible random drops is also good. Halo has been successful when focused around a precision starting weapon, equal starts, and those other mechanics I mentioned earlier. There is a reason Reach and 4 failed. They changed core mechanics.

I hated Reach.

The armor abilities ruined it.

I hated that bubble shield crap.

I also hated how it turned into a BR fest. I like BR but liked when you had to go get it on the map. Halo 2 was perfectly set up IMO.

Bubble shields were awesome. I loved running out of a bubble shield right before the nade blew.

Imo, bubble shield, power drain, regen, etc started the downward spiral of the Halo multiplayer. Halo 3 was a great game. I probably played it as much as H2, but that's only because of availability. I can't completely hate the power ups, because they have a set spawn on the map just like any other power weapon. You don't want the other team to use them on you? Fine, beat the other team to it. Earn that advantage. That's what Halo has always been about for me.

Completely agree. That shite was the downfall of halo.

H2 was who is better. Who could pull off the crazy kill to save their arse. Not who can sit in a bubble shield regen health then get a kill. Or toss a power drainer in a room with a couple grenades

That's why H2 will always be the superior game. It's straight forward. Who's smarter, who has the best aim, who can pull off the button combos first, who has the map awareness, and most importantly, teamwork. There's nothing on the map that gives you a cheap advantage, except maybe super bouncing.

That's Halo in a nutshell. Earn everything.

Y'all don't understand how sick I am of modern shooters. I don't have the time anymore to unlock all the best weapons. But give me the same weapon as you and let's see who's better. That's what I miss.

Me too. Halo was the purest form of FPS imo. Why change it?

This. One of my many many complaints about COD is I have to level to 48 to get a gun i want to use. frick that shite.

Original COD on CPU was my shite though.
