i see math isn't something they teach in schools in texas. you think that 1185 mg of sodium in a 465 calorie meal is acceptable? you keep that rate up for a 2200 calorie diet (what most americans consume in a day), and your at nearly 5000 mg of salt for the day.

like i said in my op, the place is terrible for your health due to enormous amounts of salt used. your numbers only serve as support for my post.

So by my LA math if you eat that meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner you will lose weight since you are only taking in around 1500 calories.

Define acceptable.

465 calories for a meal is not bad at all. Calories out > Calories in = lose weight

1) you'd think someone so health conscious would know not to get white rice

2) "fajita vegetables," "roasted corn salsa"- do you work for chipotle or something? its standard chopped up peppers and corn, and it all tastes like shite

Fajita veggies and corn salsa is the shite

Salt isn't a big deal if your health is good and calories are in check. That's not bad

diet is much more than calories. it's that kind of thinking that leads to a nation with terrible cardiovascular disease. i'd rather eat more calories with less sodium than the other way. better for my family health history profile.

Opposite for me. I'd much rather watch calories to assist in keeping a slender figure and be attractive. Maybe I'm just shallow

Sorry, a mound of corn and chopped peppers doesn't constitute a meal in my book

i didn't know chipotle had formed a cult following. wow, these kids get more offended if you don't compliment the place than if you spit on their dead grandparents grave.

So it tastes good (or so you've alluded to), it's reasonably filling, but it doesn't have meat so it's not a meal?

C'mon, man.

ETA: for clarity, I haven't been to Chipotle in years and don't care if I never set foot in one again

I said I like corn and peppers. I don't know why this has turned into such a contentious point.

It's not, really. I just didn't understand why you arbitrarily dismiss it if you like it. But okay.

inexplicably overrated. You have your choice of their bland chicken, soggy, salty pork, etc with two or three toppings to toss on it like corn and pico de gallo. Somehow this has endeared itself to people across the country. It's mediocre at best.

That was my experience with the one in Huntsville. A friend of mine won a meal a week for 2 years from Chipotles. He gave his card to me, becasue he was moving.

I used it maybe 5 or 6 times. Always tipped. Always found it to be bland and the texture was off. I think I gave the card to someone else, because I was tired of it, even free, after a few months.

My co-workers here in Birmingham go to the one in Homewood every few weeks, and they like it.

Not sure where you went to school, but since you are trying to bash my education I will bash yours. Apparently your institution of higher learning didn't teach much grammar.

I didn't attend one school in the state of Texas.

quote:

you keep that rate up for a 2200 calorie diet

I don't eat this much food in a day. Nor does my wife. I might get that high in caloric intake with my protein shakes, but last time I checked they don't put much salt in my milk or protein powder.

quote:

you think that 1185 mg of sodium in a 465 calorie meal is acceptable

Yeah, what the frick is wrong with it if you aren't going over during your other meals? I'm not an unhealthy lardass that eats out every meal. I might make grilled chicken and some vegetables for dinner and that isn't going to have 1,100 mg of sodium. I believe that I even included in my previous comment that there is nothing wrong with that amount of sodium as long as you aren't dumping 4 tablespoons of salt on your dinner. Therefore, one with any level of intelligence could deduce that I made the assumption that one would not "keep up that rate" for the rest of their day.

Thanks for your attempt at a math lesson though, retard.

Not sure why you are knighting for runningtiger, the biggest troll on this board. I'm not the one complaining about the place being unhealthy. I'm in good shape. I think I can handle the white rice.

No? You think I work at Chipotle because I used the term fajita vegetables and roasted corn salsa? Jesus.

Some of you people must be miserable as hell. It's a fricking fast food burrito place. You act like we are critiquing a John Besh restaurant here. It's a decent burrito for a decent price.

This thread reminds me of a "let's bash chimes" thread.

It's a fast food burrito joint. Nothing more, nothing less.
