I am in STL and watched the game last night. The new Cubs are for real.

Let's not forget the fact that Hendricks held the Cards down and Alcantara also hit one. He's got a steady 6.

Cubs have won 8 of Hendricks 9 starts. His ERA is something like 1.5 after his first mlb start.

I mentioned that it might be him in my post to him.
He could also be some a-hole posing as JP. I dont think hes ever come out and claimed to be JP either.

That lineup wins a world series at some point.

And Addison Russell will be in it at some point in 2015. There will need to be some shuffling to fit everyone in.

Bryant to LF, Russell to SS, Castro to 3B?

I'm very doubtful about this. Now put that as early May lineup and sure i'm in.

7. C - Russell Martin

I'd also be pretty ok without doing this.

I'd leave Beef, and put Valbuena in at 3B for opening day 2015. And for opening day i still expect castro to be in the 4 hole.

I still don't see what the cubs are going to do about a veteran player through FA, so i can only guess it's a trade.

Castro hurt and taken from the game. Sounding like an ankle sprain. Which is good news after the way he looked after the slide.

Maybe mike olt will be back by then...but you will likely have to endure Junior Lake (won't that be the 5th day ergo soler gets the day off?).

No surprise. Bryant USA Today's minor league player of the year...and he's got "a chip on [his] shoulder" about not making it to the majors.

I'll get to see Arietta, Baez, Soler, Mendy, the surplus of talent in the bullpen.

Plenty enough for me

Since i've already been accused of being a party pooper

Arietta

will be wood or doubront. Thursday is an off day, and we're doing a 6 man rotation now.

quote:

Soler,

hope so for your sake. But I thought the plan was to play 5 sit a game. Didn't he sit last sunday? Not sure how the off day plays into that on thursday. Seems to me day game after a night game makes sense, but that won't be the case sunday so hopefully they're not dead set on that plan.

Baez, Mendy

They're fun to watch. Enjoy...just don't visit the rooftops.
