I just don't think Monroe and Ryno could work

They don't have to work...Anderson is the starting point with any trade for Monroe.

Logically you would think that, but all the recent Monroe talk stems from "inside" information saying the team was looking into a Gordon for Monroe swap.

Well, yeah, I prefer to think about things logically and consider what makes good basketball sense...not Bleacher Report-level, message board gossip.

Of course they were. There are dozens of trade proposals floated by insiders with varying levels of plausibility and the Pelicans org probably did their due diligence. Doesn't mean they need to be taken seriously...and a "Gordon for Monroe" proposal shouldn't be taken seriously.

Having Asik would be nice too, but he will be pretty old when AD starts hitting his prime.

I'm pretty sure they aren't signing players now in hopes they'll be around in 5-10 years when Davis is in his prime...
