Noel doesn't have serious knee issues

And there are 15 PGs better than Holiday, give or take. It doesn't mean he's bad, it's just the deepest position in the nba. Some awesome PGs don't crack the top 10

there might be 12 or so better than him. But even if he is middle of the pack, he's not average, considering the context.

No Dragic, Rose, Irving or Lawson? I could even make an argument for Lowry and Conley (D. Williams has just fallen to nothing)..

PG is just a loaded position in the league right now..

Dragic is a sg, Rose hasn't played in 2 years, and Jrue is better than Lowry and Conley also he's the youngest guy on that list.

I cannot wait to see him work with AD and Evans now the team has played together. This team was put together last year and were still trying to figure out how to play as a team. Now it is ADs team and Jrue is going to be great.

He is a big PG and he gave a lot of PG fits in the post and on defense. Plus he would find AD all of the time on fast breaks.

Exactly. We're in an era where the average starting PG is pretty damn good. Jrue is a great fitting 2 way player. I can't think of any PG I'd rather have besides him that isn't elite. Especially if Tyreke is his backcourt mate, you need someone capable of both leading an offense and playing off ball like Jrue does.

We all love Jrue but how do you justify this? Both of these guy's PER the last 2 seasons is higher than Holiday's best season. They are also both great defenders who have lead teams to the playoffs.

It's called LeBron, Wade, Bosh..... don't really need a PG if you have them genius

The NBA's top 20 PGs consist of 16 Western, 4 Eastern.

Rose, Deron Williams, Rondo, Wall, Lowry, Carter-Williams, Kyrie Irving are all from the East.

I wouldn't say there are 12. Here are the guys who are clearly better:

Parker
Paul
Westbrook
Curry
Irving
Wall
Rondo
Lillard

I'd say Jrue is right there with these players:

Dragic (saying he's just a sg is dumb - if westbrook and curry are pg, then so is dragic)
Lowry
Lawson
Conley
Bledsoe
D-Will

So you could make an argument for 12 but I don't think it would hold up.

I can't understand why he is thought so highly of. He's a VERY good point guard, but so are about 15-20 other guys out there. I wouldn't be opposed to moving Jrue out of here if it would help in dealing Gordon for a 3 or 5. Its really just not a PG dominated league regardless of what people say. Miami is about to win their 3rd with Chalmers, child please.

He's very good defensively. The thought process is with him on the ball defending the Parker's, Monta's, Conley's, Paul's, Lillard's and Westbrook, and AD behind him protecting the rim, you can limit the other team's best offensive player/creator.

I'm all for moving Gordon, but I wouldn't trade Jrue unless we are getting something great back in return.

It would have to be something like Jrue and Gordon for AI, Bougut, Klay Thompson and a future draft pick. Which ain't happening.

I'll grant you Wall, as he looked great in the playoffs.

Rose, Deron, and Rondo are oft-injured and/or shells of themselves.

Lowry is a weird case because he's doing good in Toronto but he's been a locker room problem, which is why he has been shuffled around like he has.

MCW has potential and did win ROY, but he's not in Holiday's league.

It's hard to judge Kyrie given the shite-show that is Cleveland. He has potential but the problems over there may be partially his fault, given the problems between him and Waiters.

Exactly. Look at the other teams in the playoffs that have good PG. Washington - Wall, Thunder - Westbrook, Spurs - Parker, Clippers - CP3, and Golden State - Steph Curry.

Not saying you need one. You need a superstar (ours being AD) but a really good PG helps out a lot.

Lillard is doesnt pass and is Brian Roberts status on D and he's better than Rondo. Also stop living in the past D-Willi is horrible he fell off so much and as I said before in this convo of best pg he's the youngest.

John Wall is younger than Holiday. I'm not wasting time looking up the other guys, but I know that one for a fact. Not that it really means anything. But you seem to be harping on it..

Also, what about Teague and K. Walker? Both those guys had great years and sort of blew up in the playoffs. I'm telling you, after Exum, Ennis and Smart get in the league, the PG position will deeper than it's ever been..
