but apparently if you've got prime, you can also sign up for "amazon Mom" and get crazy deals on diapers and baby stuff

It's great

with Amazon Mom and Subscribe & Save, we get 25% off all our baby food, diapers, wipes, etc and delivered to our door monthly with no delivery fee

we hadnt done it in the past bc we only had one, but our second kid is coming in june, so we're definitely gonna need the bulk diapers, wipes, etc...

the trick will just be figuring out how many to get delivered every month

So you get access to old HBO shows now, current HBO shows three years from now, and Game of Thrones never?

Is this particularly groundbreaking?

the only way to access and/or stream hbo shows before was to actually subscribe to hbo through a cable provider so you couldnt "cut the cord" if you wanted to watch hbo

this gives you that option, there's just some limitations

Hell yeah. I got free prime shipping with my .edu email, but didn't get Prime Instant. I will now.

Just when I was running out of shows on Netflix too.

I don't really mind the three years after original air date. I usually wait to watch shows until they are over anyways.

Current shows won't be available for 3 (THREE) years?

A step in the right direction, sure, but I don't see how this is particularly relevant for people looking to cut the chord.

if I wanted to watch the Wire or the Sopranos before this, I would either have to have HBO or stream/download from internet sites

this makes it easier

You can cut the chord and still have plenty of access to HBO's old catalog.

only through streaming/dowloading sites, and not everyone is tech savy enough or wants to go through those type of sites, and a lot of times the quality is shite

Streaming is only one avenue though. If I want to watch the Sopranos I can subscribe to the disc exchange Netflix. Or I can go buy the DVDs. Neither of those requires me to have cable.

ok...

streaming is still much better than both of those options, so I do not know why you continue to say this isn't a big deal for cordcutters
