For whatever reason, he takes REAL issue with the fact that people were excited about USC losing. He conveniently ignores the fact that we had just scored and the crowd had already been in a frenzy the whole game and was in a frenzy for the duration of the game.

i agree with this assessment. hey, i'm a diehard LSU alum that moved away from LA to get away from what i perceived at that time as suffocating social and economic constraints.. so maybe this reaction is a metaphor to the way i love LSU but don't fit in louisiana. hope that didnt get too heady for you bro

Down year. Bama ranked number 1 with Saban in his first game back to Tiger Stadium. Emotions were high. Entire stadium standing.. On edge.. End of the game.. As far as 5-10 seconds of actual decibels. This moment is the loudest in the history of Tiger Stadium.

This guy gets it

was also the greatest cup throwing moment of all time

LSU wasn't the undisputed number 1 team going into the UF game. Wasn't USCw the BCS number 1 team before losing to Stanford?

It's up there for sure.

Hester scoring in the last couple minutes to go up against UF was probably my favorite cup toss moment. I was physically and emotionally drained after that game.

Haha same here. It was my freshman year at LSU.

I don't really remember. 2007 was my sophomore year and I was living in the fraternity house at the time. To say that year is a big blur is an understatement.

If you were there you would have known it was during a timeout and the crowd made Tebow not be able to hear at the beginning of the play. So I don't believe you.

And then he proceeded to methodically march down the field and score to go up

I loathe UF, but goddamn I respected Tebow.

That entire day/night was a beautiful drunken blur for me. The highlight of my freshman year [besides the Alabama game & BCSNG].

I can remember one of my HS buds was dating a girl who's family was diehard USCw fans. Apparently she cried in the stadium when that announcement came across the airwaves . I just remember cups of beer and bourbon flying in the air.

I personally loved when Landry caught that fade route TD vs. Bama in '12. It got so quiet for a second or two then it just erupted when he caught it. I could watch that play over and over

it's so worthless to continue these arguments when we said what we think in our 1st posts. but i'm bored at work so here goes:

1) someone said everyone was excited b/c it would be the 1st time we'd be #1 in the regular season since 1959 (obviously we were #1 after '03 lol

2) i point out that we actually were #1 before the game even started. therefore, his argument is all fubar'd

3) u oddly remind me that USC was #1 in the AP poll as if i don't realize there were 2 polls at the time

4) u post a popcorn emoticon

Wonderful contradiction you've got here.
