That's hard to call, Ideal to me would be the combo of

Cooks in the 1st, McGill in the 2nd
Or
Fuller in the 1st, Matthews in the 2nd

Guess I couldn't be mad at either of those really, but Fuller/Matthews pitches a larger tent.

I guess you can't go wrong with neither..As long as the right player falls or is there at 58.

I think the only way we go CB in the first is if Dennar or Gilbert are there and by all accounts, that's basically a near impossibility. Fuller just might be, but who knows if he rates high enough on our board for that.

To me, our first round pick boils down to whoever is available from the below group:
Beckham, Lee, Cooks
Dennard, Gilbert, possibly Fuller
Mosely
A top o-lineman who may fall

Is everyone off the Cooks bandwagon?

It really just depends on how the first 26 picks play out.

I think one of OBJ, Cooks or Lee fall to us, while I think Verret, Fuller, Dennard & Gilbert are all gone by 27. So I don't think anyone outside of those 4 CBs are worth a first round pick.

Yea...If one of Lee,OBJ,or Cooks are on the board at 27,I can't see us passing on whichever one it may be.

Hell no Im not, I think he has the biggest impact of all the WRs in this draft.

I would love to have him but I just don't see him falling to 27.

I don't either, I don't see him getting past Philly. Hes the perfect replacement for D Jackson

Yup...He's VERY electric with the ball in his hands...Highly productive too.

It seems to be about the same.
I'd feel more comfortable going WR 1st Round.

Drew needs another true WR threat to open up the running game and allow our possession receivers some room to work underneath the coverage.

Guess I just disagree, depending on CBs taken early.

What I mean is... I'd prefer for the Saints to get an elite WR more than an elite CB.

There's no guessing, I absolutely disagree with this one.

I think the WR depth in this draft is great, but I think that's also got stuck in people's heads that were gonna pick up someone in the 5th round who's gonna come in and be an immediate impact guy (not saying it absolutely can't happen..)

But to me, that just means there's also a chance at getting an elite player who in other drafts might go top 10, might fall to the 20s just in our reach. I feel like any other year a guy like those three I mentioned would be slam dunk top 15 picks

Me too, but I wouldn't be disappointed at all in getting OBJ and Martin in the first and second round.

This is my opinion as well. The Saints have a roster full of possession receivers like you can get in the 2nd Rd and later. Are any of these guys gonna out-Colston, Colston?

Our whole offense has been stymied by our inability to get off of press coverage and force the DBs to respect our downfield ability, and our lack of offensive weapons has made our play-calling rather predictable at times.

On the other hand, the defensive scheme change has taken us from worst defense ever to 4th in scoring and yardage in one year.
Offense seems to be the more pressing issue IMO.
