That and who they decide to sign and ditch in the summer. Whoever they decide to bring won't get much further with this lineup.

ESPN is reporting we have moved for Van Gaal

Last night on the Locker Room, Andy Gray said that it was going to be v Gaal...said that Spurs were looking at him a while back and RvP told Gaal not to take it that an opening would be coming up soon....might be tricky with the WC coming up...we shall see

Reading the stories on the dissent from Manchester United players makes the situation make more sense. I still don't think he's a great manager but his players were cock holsters to him from the beginning.

The only thing that I think was maybe blown out of proportion was Shinji Kagawa smiling about being late for a plane. Someone pointed out that in Japanese culture people smile when they're embarrassed -- could have been that.

That makes Giggs look worse than Moyes, IMO.

£30mm for an 18 yr old LB? No more AC banter, if so...

Don't think they're all 100% true but yes, I believe a lot of it.

Interesting that you dismiss it.

Liverpool might be bidding for him as well

Also in the long run it could be a great investment for any club if you can get 12 to 15 years out of him.

I dismiss everything written in an English paper immediately. Just a habit. Glorified tabloids, most of it at least.

Yeah, I'm not saying Moyes is a good manager. I hated watching Man Utd play but the general countyness does not help

I think shaw is a good player with the chance to be very good/great.

But £30mm and a £100k/week for an 18yo is ridiculous... especially a LB.. But again, that is the "english premium"... assuming the stories are true, but h isn't going to go for peanuts.

I'm sure we are looking at him, but doubt we will get in a bidding war for him. I'd rather Ricardo Rodriguez at less than half that price..

Yep, Rodriguez and Erik Durm from the Bundesliga are better options when you factor in price.

Marcel Schmelzer will probably be available too. He doesn't have the potential of those guys but if you want a steady player for a reasonable price, he's a solid option.
