Hope you don't have any over sensitive players. Actually, I kind of hope you do for the entertainment factor.

He could be a good stop gap to lay the groundwork for Giggs to take over in a few years.

Guy on radio saying that they owe Moyes 4.6 million. Benchmarks were semis for CL or qualify for CL.

That was great. I read the ESPN article on it and all they put was:

quote:

A statement on the club’s official website read: “Manchester United has announced that David Moyes has left the club.

“The club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role.”

I thought surely there was more to it. Nope.

I found the rough draft of the statement:

quote:

Dear Donald,

You were ok.

Any chance SAF steps back in?

I say no. He let the roster age woefully and stepped away just in time to preserve his legacy. Moyes did suck though no doubt the players didn't play for him

No chance he steps back in, imo.

I'm not buying the "he left him with an aging squad" thing either. They won the title the previous year. SAF is just that good. Maybe he himself didn't even realize how good he was . He did shoot himself in the foot kinda by choosing Moyes and it not working out, though.

Fortunately, Giggs has a lot of experience in awkward situations so he should do fine.

If nothing else, I think the team will want to play their asses off for him.

From the City forums:

Any chance we can get some black armbands for this to mourn the city legend that is Moyes?
