If I'm not mistaken, USC losing and LSU beating Florida meant that LSU would be ranked #1 DURING the season...something someone under the age of 49 has never experienced. AMIWRONG?

u r wrong. we were already #1 dumbass.

The No. 1 Tigers and their go-for-broke coach pulled off one gamble after another before Jacob Hester hit the jackpot, scoring on a 2-yard run with just over a minute remaining for a 28-24 victory over ninth-ranked Florida on a thrilling Saturday night in Death Valley.

Didn't realize there was only 1 poll. The same article was able realize it:

quote:

LSU got a huge emotional boost on its first possession of the second half. At about the time Williams was scampering into the end zone to make it 17-14, Stanford was closing out its shocking upset of USC, which was still No. 1 in the coaches' poll.

once again, why did you need to save your breath?

Are you incapable of holding more than 1 thought in your brain at a time?

Why couldn't one be happy be celebrating the LSU TD and also be happy that USC fell making LSU the unanimous #1 team if we won?

I just don't understand how someone can be so miserable to complain about our fans during that game.

dude said we had never been #1 during regular season since 1959. you agreed. never said unanimous #1. u think u can alter ur argument after it's been disproved, ergo u never have to be wrong.

what are u even talking about? when did we start thinking with our lungs??

vocal chords get strained after recklessly screaming for 4 hours like i did. i thought it might be prudent to save my voice for the football game, not an update from the pac 10.

Like a touchdown, that we had just scored

And at rationing off your vocal cords at a football game

says the one who claimed the USC-Stanford game was meaningless to LSU making the NC. You just believe that LSU operates in a bubble I guess.

Are you really going there with your posts? What exactly did I misspell?

quote:

derp i know right clearly everyone in the stadium knew we needed usc to lose to stanford since we were gonna drop OT contests to kentucky and arkansas later in the year

quote:

as another poster previously pointed out the fans should've been concerned about the game in front of us because we had no idea by game 5 in the season who was going to be in the national championship race and the only thing that mattered was beating Florida . I cared about the touchdown but for some unknown reason most of the other fans cared more about a game over 1000 miles away. and for some reason that moment still gets talked about more than the fourth-down conversions even though after the fact we can prove unequivocally the usc-stanford game didn't matter any more than any other loss by any other team in the nation that helped us get to the national championship game with two losses. if you were excited about it whatever that's your decision but it just shows how people got mixed up in some BS rivalry that never existed all because they couldn't accept the fact that our national championship was just as good in 03 whether or not we shared particularly considering how long it'd been since we got to say that at all.

I guess that means you've run out of talking points. I'm praying that you did not graduate from LSU. You are a grammatical superstar.

Graduated '07. English Degree. ULSU. Pray harder.

You think a Pac-10 score announcement is one of the great moments in LSU history. I don't. We can agree to disagree and I understand I look like a kill-joy, but I just think you're one of the many that was all wrapped up in some misdirected hate towards a school that never cared about LSU. And honestly why would we care about them when all they did was have a good team the same year that we did?

Why not just head back to the USC message board and tell them how much better we were than them in '03.

I don't, and I've explained it several times. You keep downplaying the actual moment and changing it to fit your argument. Your post still isn't grammatically correct.

Next time you bring up someone else's grammar or spelling, fix your own.

Tim Tebow will be relevant for the history of CFB. He was truly one of the all-time greats. While one may not like the gators (I don't), I have nothing but respect for Tebow. Great talent; great competitor.

I didn't ask his why he was ever relevant I asked why is he still? To FLA fans yes to LSU fans no. Tebow was a system QB and it fit him perfectly. Is he one of the greatest of all time?? Nope sorry. He's a TE that couldn't throw and choked most of the time.

What do you believe?? Being hard headed and selfish to not switch positions so you could have a full filling NFL career. Or knowing you don't need to because you can fall back on Jesus and Jesus is a bigger money making machine than the NFL???

No Pat Tillman was a great human being. He DID something not sitting around making money off running his mouth and saying Me,Me,Me and I love Jesus to make a living.

You know Tebow has done a shite ton of mission work, right? It's not like he's some fat frick evangelist sitting at home stacking money. I'm as non-religious as they come, but Tebow seems like a pretty good guy. And he was unquestionably a goddamn warrior on the football field at UF.

Damn. I am so glad I don't have the same outlook as you on one of the many great moments of the greatest game in Tiger Stadium history. Every time I so much as read a post about that game or USC moment, I get goosebumps. I will cherish every great moment of that game for as long as I live.

You fricking suck.
