holy crap

I looked him up and was amazed. LINK The guy had some great years with the Jazz in which he scored over 30 ppg with field goal % well over 50%. The only thing I remembered about him was a guy near the end of his career with the Pistons.

your statement stands (at least for players from the 80s)

AD is a crossing guard now. AD was known to be cheap. He's saved his money and says his crossing guard job gives him health insurance.

Here's an article LINK

I hate to defend Isiah Thomas, but look at Dantley's numbers post-trade. He would only play in 86 more NBA games for the rest of his career. He wasn't quite done, but he was close. The Pistons were absolutely correct in trading him, and having Aguirre was probably better for those Bad Boys teams.

It sucks to get so close to a title and then get shipped off, but I don't see how it can be called a bad trade. AD was almost done as an effective player when he got dealt. The Pistons absolutely "won" that deal.

Nothing like sitting in Reunion Arena watching the Aguirre, Blackman, Perkins, Donaldson, Harper Mavs trying to unsuccessfully to defend him. Would hear Kevin McCarthy's understated call of, "Adrian Dantley" about 15 times a game. Same with "Alex English" when they played the Nuggets.

Dudes knew how to score back then.
