yo Burt. These are all some of my favorite jams from most of my favorite reggae groups:
Black Uhuru - Sponji Reggae
Culture - Get Ready to Ride the Lion to Zion
Max Romero & the Upsetters - War ina Babylon
Junior Murvin - Police and Thieves
Israel Vibration - Cool and Calm
The Heptones - Country Boy
The Gladiators - Bellyful
The Congos - Children Crying
Half Pint - Cost of Living
If you want to check out some albums (most of which I linked a song from above) "Trenchtown Mix Up" by the Gladiators, "Two Swords Clash" by Culture, "Red" by Black Uhuru (maybe my favorite of them all, "Night Food" by The Heptones, and the self-title Aswad album.
And if you're into dub, check out "King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown" by Augustus Pablo. The essential dub album, imo. Here's the album on youtube LINK. It's pretty much the fricking tits.
