re: Parish Brewery - Why so much love?

Just wanted to sign in to say I think Parish is much better than. Tin Roof. Juke Joint is drinkable, and I like the change of pace that its in a can. I think South Coast and Envie are the best regularly available and lower price point craft beer offering in Louisiana.

I'd like to do a side by side with envie and commotion.

I don't think it's even close. I prefer Envie easily over Commotion

Had Nola's rebirth pale ale the other day it it compared pretty well with envie. Thought it might have even been a little better but it was fresh. They told me they should start canning it around late May or early June.

I wish we could get the bottles here in New Orleans.

I had it yesterday. I wasn't in the right state for a pale ale, so I'll have to try it another time.
I had just eaten a huge meal in the sun on a patio and drank a vodka drink and a whiskey drink. The beer got hot quickly in the direct sun, so I had to force it down.
I'll try under better circumstances.

So that means we will be lucky to see cans by football season.

The OP starts a thread and takes a shot at Parish but doesn't stick around to respond

He got what he wanted. 4 pages of rustled jimmies

Wonder what will happen first. Commotion, Envie, or Rebirth to hit shelves in NOLA.

Canebrake is nothing special, but it pays the bills and allows Parish to do some other stuff. I like Envie and Soutcoast as day drinkers. Dr. Hptagon ain't really my thing, but FIPA, GR, and GITM are all pretty good. I will say that I beleive Parish benefits from being a big fish in a little pond. I could easily see their stuff getting lost in a larger market.
And I don't mind Tin Roof. The pale and amber are below average, but I'll drink their blonde and porter all day

The irony in this thread is awesome. Yall talk shite about Abita none stop, you get 2 new breweries putting out stuff other than Abita and Yall talk shite about them. The bourbon threads sure do seem to stay more civilized lol
That being said, this honey cream ale home brew sure is good

GTFO. Just because another brewery opens up besides Abita doesn't mean people have to like it. Most of the Mavens seem to be siding with Parish.

Wow... Some of you people just can't be pleased. Parish puts out some good stuff, tin roof puts out some good stuff. Are all their beers the best ever, no. Be happy you have more local choices.

That's what I said in my first post.

He's not. He's just one of the bourbon guys. They get their jollies from screwing with the beer guys. There's some imbecilic perceived rivalry between the two factions that I don't really understand or give a shite about. Except when people start acting petty. Then it's annoying.
If he was being honest he'd admit that the regular beer drinkers are appreciative of Parish while also acknowledging its place in the grand scheme of things in regards to quality.
As for Tin Roof, they could do better. But got forbid you criticize a local product.
