And besides August, NOLAHS is better than all of Besh's restaurants.
I hope you got paid to post that.

Dead serious. I've eaten at Luke (absolutely horrible), his cafe in the WW2 museum (gross but not as bad as Luke), and Domenica (just awful pizza). Haven't eaten at Borgne or his steakhouse, but the other three, I would take NOHSC before them every time without hesitancy.

No more a chain than any of John Besh's restaurants. And besides August, NOLAHS is better than all of Besh's restaurants.

It is what it is and is much better since the rebrand.
However, the garlic fries are nauseating.

This is either a troll post or representative of someone whose opinion on food can never, ever be taken seriously.

Yeah, I agree. This is literally the first time I've ever seen it discussed on here.
I remember at least one thread because I posted in it. I had lunch at the St. Charles location one time and it was decent for what it aspires to be, as I recall.

Name a better fried seafood sit down restaurant within city limits.
There is a place on Magazine near Napoleon that's pretty good. Name escapes me. A few good ones out in JP too. It's fried seafood. Not too complicated.

Yep.
I'm not a big fried seafood person, but I do like me some Mr. Ed's Oyster House when I need that fix.

I'm a fan. He's branching out to the FQ soon.

That's awesome. We can steer people who want fried seafood in the quarter to somewhere other than Deanies.

I really like the fried catfish and white beans.

They do the best job of recreating the Metairie "Vibe" of anyone in town!!
Thin fried catfish platter for $12.99, I'm not sure that's as great a value as you stated.

It's a better value than that crap of a fried catfish plate that I paid over $15 for at Blue Crab this weekend.

If it wasn't all batter I think it would be fine. Food isn't cheap these days.
