What is the $650 for? Is that bail or something? If he got it yesterday, I doubt anyone has even looked over his case to hand out fines for the offense itself. Was it definitely DUI or was it speeding or something?

Exactly. The OP has absolutely no clue what he's talking about.

So can the plant operator driving home after a 12 hour shift, fwiw.

Go to the thread below about the girl "Trying to stop drinking so much"

Not kidding. I was shooting 4-5 80s a day and doing dope, and managed to quit. "Dukke V" rode in on his high horse and shite all over it

You're looking for every reason possible to defend drunk driving.

Also this. If OP believes this was just a one time mistake there is no reason not to help him out. You can have him pay you off by cleaning out your garage or painting your house or some shite.

This is a good compromise. Sure, I'd help out my bro (21) if he did that, but he wouldn't just get money easily. Yes, he's family, but drunk driving is just horribly bad. It only takes one time to ruin a life, if not multiple lives.

No, I am not. I just think .08 is so arbitrary and low when compared to other things, like driving tired.

And saying one thing like that is looking for every possible reason? Is it intentional, or are you just that obtuse IRL?

Yeah, I'd help him out but I might wait until he's spent the night in jail. Give him time to do some reflecting.

Thanks man. I grew up in Baltimore around a bunch of rich private school pill heads. Got addicted. Went to WVU, got worse (add ecstacy, cocaine, LSD to that). somehow left with a degree before rehab. Now I have been clean for 2 years, feels good man

.08 is not low.....

quote:

A BAC of .06 – .10 is considered the point of diminishing returns. Typically a person at this BAC will experience the following:

Impaired judgment, inappropriate behavior (such as drinking competitively, or annoying others)
Impaired coordination (stumbling, swaying, staggering, or loss of fine motor skills, distance acuity, glare recovery)
Slurred speech, talkative
Diminished of senses (speaks louder, cannot hear as well as normal, vision is not as clear, glassy, unfocused eyes)
Slowed mental processing (can only do one task at a time, forgetting things, lighting more than one cigarette at a time, or losing their train of thought, cannot listen well, follow conversations well, or understand what others are saying)
Intensified emotions (overly friendly, laughing intensely, displaying mood swings)
Lowered Inhibitions

It is more than just that one post. You come across in this thread as someone who sees no big issue with someone driving while buzzed.

Link? I joked with WG Dawg and then made fun of the guy who wanted every drunk driver castrated and/or murdered. I find it offensive that you take tired driving so casually.

You are such a fricking bitch, it makes my head spin.

Not really

Someone who is driving at .25 is much more likely to wreck than someone driving at .08

You're being awfully cavalier with a lot of children's lives, you drunk driving apologist.

And I agree with you that driving at .08 can be comparable to any other type of distracted/tired driving
