I have requested admin to change your user name to Yaks n Hose.

I figured you'd approve.

Here's something for you fishyakkers to consider.

I've done business with these Yanks and they are fine people that know their stuff.

They make Yak fishing a pleasure. You are able to troll and cast and maneuver your Yak when you get a big fish on. Take a gander. You will be impressed.

I had to return mine, first trip out resulted in about 5 gallons of water in the hull

I flipped it over and siliconed the everliving shite out of the scupper hole seams, so hopefully even if that problem did exist I won't have it anymore. I could see where it could easily be a problem looking at the design though.

They did a shitty job of lining up the scupper holes and they leak there. Bass Pro gave me a new one and told me to silicone it. I was pissed I drove all the way to Grand Isle only to have my trip cut short due to that bullshite.

The construction as a whole was shoddy, but I figure you get what you pay for. Would definitely piss me off though. I siliconed around the hatches as well.

nice, looks like you're all set and i'm very jealous. it's been two weeks and my cuda hasn't arrived yet

i've bought a sherpa rack, yakima bars and yakima sweetroll to carry her home when she arrives. it's like looking at the finished nursery waiting for a baby to be born.

I went overkill on the silicone
I fished paddlepalooza last weekend and it was dry after fishing all day, but it'll have to be redone every few trips.

Oh I totally plan on doing it again after I try it out this time. And again. And again.

I considered getting epoxy putty and just leveling out the whole unaligned areas, but my only worry is if that doesn't hold up to flex it's gonna be harder to redo than silicon.

It was awesome! Caught a Red and Spec early, spent the rest of the day trying to find a flounder. The wind picked up around noon and made it tough.

When is the OByakGT?

I want to get a light thingy like what you're describing. Someone posted a link to an article showing how to make one. Don't know if I bookmarked or not.

May have been me, if this was the one you saw.
