Trading back is impossible to do in a mock draft.

Without the ability to trade back we went with Xavier

Grubbs can be cut this year if the rookie is good. And we've taken guys that have not played full time before in the first, so I don't buy the needs to be an immediate starter bull shite.

IDK...a rookie CB could at least play significant time, whereas Sua-Filo will get none behind Evans and Grubbs...they're not gonna cut Grubbs this season

...i'm talking about real life if this scenario were to go down...I'm not a fan of trading back from a first round pick anyway

Over who? We have Lewis locking down one spot and 3 guys fighting over 2 other spots, 2 of which have familiarity with the system and one of which is a future HoF.

Not saying impossible, but he'd have to be damn good for a rookie to get playing time year 1 here.

Now if we are talking for the future, I definitely agree CB makes sense. And that's why I think it's silly people are made at a guard pick but are wanting a CB. Neither is likely to play this year unless someone gets cut.

As someone said, I go DT all the way depending on our fronts. If we're gonna continue in more odd-fronts then you go Nix. If we're gonna continue in more even fronts then you go Jernigan.

If we could snag either, good God this D would be sick.
