Can Superman's ice breath freeze Thor? Can Superman's heat vision cut into Thor?

Thor has hurricane force breath, plus he can control the weather. He has survived energy attacks much more powerful than heat vision. He could deflect it with mjolnir anyway. His god-blast is much more powerful than anything superman has. Plus lots of his attacks are magical anyway.

Yeah, I was just wondering if Sups were able to get around the hammer, if his heat vision could penetrate Thor's skin, or if he could freeze Thor with his freeze breath (since Thor is basically immortal, all Sups really has to do in this tournament is incapacitate him).

But I'm leaning toward Thor (much to Freauxzen's surprise I bet). Sups' only chance would be if he can freeze Thor, but I'm thinking that even if he could, Thor would still be able to bring down lightning and free himself.

I also guess I can't vote against Flash with how everyone has accepted that he can get to someone and vibrate through their chest before they can process a thought.

ETA:

Thor

Flash

Qwerty has it right. Thor's weather control trumps any of the cold, and Thor can withstand the Heat Vision without blinking. He can take a Destroyer blast which is far more powerful.

Naaa, I'm not surprised. Shazam is either a big unknown for most, or his powers are "magic" so they're hard to understand. That makes him tough to talk. Superman isn't really. He's just generally overrated. (I'm assuming Shazam would have beat Supes as well.)

Yep, he'd definitely beat Supes. Actually, he has beat Supes. But I actually didn't know that he was both stronger and faster than Supes until I was forced to study him for this tournament. I actually love the concept of his character. A teen/pre-teen that gets such massive powers. I'm kind of surprised that his character never took off like some of the other DC characters.

I hate that we've accepted the full force of Flash's power in this tournament. I never really think of him being that powerful. I mean I've read some of the comics that portrayed him that powerful, but I guess I've always thought of him as just a really fast guy like he's portrayed in most of his comics. I'd love to have been able to move Shazam to the finals. I think a Shazam vs Thor battle would be pretty close since they are both powered by gods, although I guess I'd have to give Thor the slight edge if one of them had to win. But their battle could rage for a long, long time, and they'd both beat each other to a pulp.

While I'm not sure Thor's weather control would effect Supes ice breath (the freeze is made by his breath, and not weather), I don't think that the ice could contain him for long.

Winners:
Thor
Shazam

i guess i missed out on the vote (never had a chance to check the board yesterday). but the title still says voting open. so up to you whether to count my vote or not. im cool either way as i know i missed the window.

question: is thor magic or advanced alien/science? i thought the whole thing was it "seemed" like magic but he is just very advanced scientifically.

he is a fantastic character actually. Geoff Johns has made a big effort recently to make him important again. i think the big reason he got hidden was because of the name. imagine if DC really pushed him into the light under Captain Marvel. they would constantly have to deal with lawsuits and headaches. its why they killed superboy at one point. they didnt have the full rights to that name yet.

this. if flash can go back in time, how can he ever lose? how can flash beat someone thats in the sky? i know that sounds like a stupid question, but i think its legitimate. if thor, superman, or shazam are high enough in the sky, how would flash attack?

The theory I used for him was that he could get to the opponent faster than the opponent could take off, and then vibrated through their chest and get their heart.

i can see that. but if hes fighting someone with comparable (never going to be faster)speed, it could be argued the other way. i know its been said that he can instantly go faster than light but in most of stories ive read, it usually take a little bit of running to go that fast. especially to go back in time.

There is no one comparable in speed. Flash has been clocked going at least 10 times the speed of light...his mind also works that fast.

Any faster and he BECOMES the speed force making him the "strongest being in existence".

That's why I said from the beginning if a full powered flash is in this tourney (geared toward his strengths) it's an auto-win for him.

I don't like using a full powered Flash if we aren't using full powered every other super hero.

i get that. but people like Superman can compare to some of Flash's lower speeds. In most stories, it takes the Flash a few seconds to really get going. Sometimes he even has a hard time tapping into the speed force.

Ah but Thor Is a different catch.

Flash would have to go back in time 10,000 years or whatever, THEN find a way to Asgard by creating the bifrost connection, yadda yadda yadda.

Flash can't win the championship.

Flash goes back in time to the point before the planet explodes.

With the way Flash has been argued thus far, could we have a draw?

Flash can travel through different dimensions as needed as well. He could just zip back to when Thor was conceived on Asgard and interrupt the moment.

shwing!!!
