If that's the case I'd take the first with the caveat that PT and Robinson must not be running well or are injured.

And in my original scenario, I'd switch the number of carries Ingram and Robinson had given the ypc holding. That was more of a same guy to same guy comparison than a big picture comparison.

Since we talked about Ingram's 5th year option number:

quote:

Jordan’s extension is expected to cost $6.969 million for 2015 and Ingram’s $5.211 million

Yeah, that ain't getting picked up. I think the most per year a HB got this year was $4.3m.

Are people really arguing in favor of the latter?

Yes. As bonethug pointed out, the latter reflects better performance when presented with opportunity. The former reflects worse performance and more opportunity.

If you've only got 10 offensive plays in a series, which player would you rather be handing the ball to?

Deuce averaged 4.7 yds a carry in 2003 which is less than Ingram's 4.9 yds this season. Deuce also ran for 1300 more yds. Did Ingram have a better season?

How many backs was Deuce sharing the playing time with back then? You make some awful arguments.

BUMP

Now that the season's over can bump this thread. So, was Ingram better or worse this year?
