Charlie Campbell's draft on Walterfootball is great. He has us double dipping at WR (Lee and Martavis Bryant) because of Colston's age, picking up McGill at CB, and drafting Deandre Coleman because of his versatility in playing 3-4 DE and 4-3 DT (most any of those players can play both, but it's nice to see that he recognizes that we aren't just stuck in the 3-4 90% of the time).

Yeah I agree, he usually does a really good job.

If your looking for a nickel guy verrett is your man. If verrett was 2-3 inches taller i think he'd be listed as the top corner in the draft. Now the question is should height really matter this much?? Idk I like Fuller's physicality, but verett is also physical. I would be happy with either one in the first.

The whole 5'10" guys not being outside corners is a crock of shite. Go look at the heights of all the starting corners in the league and a bunch of them(maybe the majority) are under 6'0".
Hell look at the guys in the draft and you see the same thing.
Size matters to a small degree, but skill is FAR FAR FAR more important.

how many good CBs are in the NFL that are sub 5'10"?

Mathieu, but he plays nickel/safety. Tim Jennings is 5'8 and has had a really good career. Lots of guys are listed at 5'10 that may be Verrett's height.
Not sure I would take him at 27, though.

I specifically pointed at 5'10"(and by my later statement 5'11") corners.
Good try at trying to create another false argument though.
Edit:
And I see Verrett is 5'9" not 5'10" depending on where you look(swore I saw a few places that had him at 5'10".
But I was talking more in general and not just specifically with him.

does it matter which, if size only matters to "a small degree"?
a talented 5'5" CB is not going to play in the NFL.

Fuller reminds me of Jimmy Smith

Oh here we go.
just saying, size is a huge factor all across the board.
it determines if you are a 1st RD pick ,or a 4th round pick.
It determines if you make 1mil or 6 mil per year
it determines if you are a starter or a backup
It determines if you can play in the league at all, or if you are a couch surfer.
It's a lot more than a small factor.

If you have a 6'3" CB vs. a 6'0" CB yes you put a check mark next to the taller guy, but you still take the one you feel has more talent.
And the bigger the size difference the more size will matter so I'm not writing it off completely. If you have a 6'3" CB vs. a 5'9" CB, the 5'9" guy will have to have a good bit more talent.
But if it's 6'0" vs. 5'10" the size difference matters a lot less than the talent.
So yes the size difference matters a lot, and without going to the extremes the actual size matters less.

Agreed honestly I feel it the ole 99cents nugget trick. 5'9 looks way worse than 5'10 when in reality its the same shite

and a 6' guy compared to a 5'8"?
its the difference between a starter and a nickel back 99% of the time. How can you say it matters little?

Exactly.
And talent more than size(within reasonable parameters and not your extremes lester) determines if you are worthy of a 1st or 4th rounder, otherwise Verrett wouldn't be in the discussion.
Now if you have close to equally talented players I've long admitted that you tend toward the larger guy.
Edit:
Maybe if I rephrase it to say size matters little in relation to talent it would make more sense for what I'm saying.
Now talent being equal size is a bigger factor. Talent being ball park with a bigger size difference, size will become more of a factor.
But size by itself matters little. You can be 7'0" and have jack shite for talent vs. 5'9" and a ton of talent and I will take the 5'9" guy all day.

Im not talking specific players here. Im talking the general notion that this guy thinks height doesnt matter.
1 inch doesn't mean anything in most cases
