ESPN scored him 96/100--the highest rated high school prospect in the country. Highly-rated running backs have sure panned out well for other schools in recent years (like Alabama),

Just watched his highlight video again. Leonard Fournette's combination of size, speed, agility, balance, power, and vision are the kind that come around only once in a while - like Herschel, Bo, Eric Dickerson and Adrian Peterson once in a while.

August can't get here fast enough for me. I am really excited to watch him in the P&G for the next three years.

He's really...REALLY good. Those expecting more from him than Hill this past season are asking too much. Now by the time he's Hill's age, no comparison.

I hope man.

Hill is the best running back we've had in a long, long time. It's hard to assume that much greatness.

Name one trait for a great Running Back he does not possess. I'll sit & listen.

Most "great" rbs have more than 0 yds in college + NFL.

And thats why people on this board are tired of the hype.

This is ridiculous.

So when LSU signed Kevin Faulk or Michael Clayton or JaMarcus Russell and they hadn't played a snap yet, you were tired of the hype?

Dude has all-star talent.

Maybe so. I call fun being in tiger stadium when LSU beat Fla after Emmitt Smith ran for over 200 yds as a freshman. Overhyping people not enrolled in LSU is not fun. Its a recipe for disappointment.

I was guilty as the next back in the day. But after Josh Booty, then recently Russell Shepard, I learned to limit my expectations. You will get it one day.

Many other CURRENT tigers deseve a thread

There really hasnt been that much hype dude...relax, people are excited. These guys work out wayyy more often than not.

True running backs are also way different than russell shep types too.

Speak for yourself. I never get tired of talking bout any HS player rated #1 in the nation at his position.

How many #1 in the nation HS players has LSU ever signed?

Everyone knows the kid hasn't gained his 1st yd, but that doesn't we cant enjoy the hype of having a offensive weapon coming in out of HS judged to be the best RB in the nation.
