reef fishing out of venice

OP is going out of GI. Never been out of there but I am guessing it's not much different than going out of spots further West since it's still on this side of the river which leads me to believe they are gonna make a deep run seeing his target fish

2-3's that turn into actual 3-4's when you clear the jetties make most folks reconsider such plans.

I've been on some dive boats that were rolling pretty good and never had a problem, but I guess I may bring medicine just in case.

Thanks for the suggestion on the rain coat, I hadn't thought of that. May put the Frog Togs to good use.

Again, not sure where we'll go, but the captain did mention fishing the rigs if that's any indication. This is my 1st trip out of Grand Isle so I'm a bit clueless.

I've even thought about taking it inland as a backup plan. Anybody catching anything inland? But my preference is definitely offshore.

I wouldn't cancel true 2-3. I've been 20+ miles offshore in a 24 ft. Hydrasport with no problem. 3-5 might be a tad miserable though.

Shite! Looks like I didn't do anything right on this trip and can't catch a break.

You're a farking pussy if you cancel on that forecast, especially if you prepaid. Just go out on the farking trip and make it a good time. It's you against the waves. Don't let the waves win.

Well, the Puss made a good call, it was rough as snot from the reports that I got.

Lee I need you to give me a call, I have misplaced your number and since the weather was as rough as it was, I did not run your deposit check. I want to make sure you are aware that it was torn up and thrown away.
