Not in 2007, he didn't. That was the year everyone (myself included) had his cell number.

It was a TENSE regional
That's putting it mildly and it wasn't just limited to LSU and ULL. I remember the Tigers having to play Tulane in an elimination game to have another shot at ULL. Jon Kaplan, Tulane's CF (who had talked mega trash to the Tigers in the 2001 Super Regional) was on first and was nearly picked off. He responded by drawing a line in the dirt well away from first, then standing on it and daring the pitcher (I forget who it was) to try and pick him off again. Then, he started pointing at second base like he was gonna steal it and they couldn't stop him. Next thing you know, he breaks on the pitch but the Tigers executed a perfect pitchout and nabbed him at second. As he went back to the Tulane dugout the Box crowd went OFF on him.

ULL wanted to beat our arse. Tulane (the previous year's #1 seed) wanted to beat our arse. LSU had its work cut out to advance. The Box was JACKED up for that double header Sunday.
It seemed like the type of series an All-American might momentarily lose his cool and toss his bat into the opposing team's duggy.

The amount of epic fails, misremembering, and stupidity from this thread has got me through the workday. Thanks.

they had a nice little winning streak going against us too, and we were at out pitchers.
Gutsy stuff and a great memory with my dad

Yea, he let his emotions get the best of him after LSU had just hit a 3 run homer and a 2 run homer in the inning to put the game completely out of reach. That was when he lost it
Then he decided to wait for the perfect pitch to do it. The first 1 would have been too obvious. The 2nd one was in the dirt. Then, with a 1-1 count he just snapped and threw a perfectly timed and executed blindly around his body and aimed it near perfectly in their dugout.

He was just being helpful by pointing to the Cajuns & saying, "Hey, your caps are missing a 2nd letter 'L' on them!"

Right...I'm amazed at the number of people here who think its perfectly logical that mid-at-bat, after a couple of completely uncontroversial pitches, with an 11 run lead in game 1 of a double-header, Aaron Hill waited on a strike, and swung, but rather than trying to hit the ball, focused his effort into throwing his bat in the general direction of ULL's dugout...

If you are amazed here by... You should have visited a Cajun forum after that weekend of games.
90% knew for certain that Hill did it on purpose and on orders from the LSU dugout.

That is so not true. I was at the game. The UL coach was tossed but he was pulling his own players off the LSU players. The umpire had no choice but to toss him.
What happened that day was the fault of the umpires. Not the fault of LSU or UL. That game caused us and the Cajuns to not play for a few years. It was a sad day because two very good baseball programs located 60 miles apart should play every year (just like Louisville and UK in basketball).

Ull wants to believe that they are LSUs rival and that they give two shits about them. Losing to ull in a midweek game is no big deal. Ranking ull 1 is fine but they dont play weekend series with sec talent. Congrats to them though and hope they enjoy it while it last.
