I'm about to purchase a lifetime license, but can you clarify this.....
I assumed shrimp, crawfish trap would still be a la carte......but the basics covered with a basic license now would still be covered.

Correct. The lifetime license does not cover gear licenses or a federal duck stamp. Covers everything else though. ALso you can buy lifetime gear licenses they run 10x the yearly gear license cost. I bought the lifetime crab trap license for $100

yep, I went squirrel hunting in Thistle and did not need the WMA hunting permit
