This thread is a testament to how deep pop and alternative music was especially in tje 80s which carried over somewhat to the 90s music. I highly doubt there will be countdowns and documentaries related to the music of the 2000s and 2010s. Kids nowadays will one day wake up and realize how pathetically embarrassing their mark on musical history truly is.

Time Zone - World Destruction
I don't know if this one counts as a "hit" or "lost" but it was one of my favorites that was played nightly at the Bengal back in the day.
This was a joint project of Afrika Bambaataa and Johnny Rotten. It's sooo 1980's! with Cold War imagery, nuclear holocaust, and Reagan overdubs.
Plus it was a great dance hit with a good beat!

Yeah, just like the first song I mentioned in this thread I'd almost completely forgotten about that song. Both songs have very catchy choruses.
I just remembered the most random song imaginable today. It's one I vaguely remembered but couldn't remember the name. It was the "advice" song from the mid to late 90s. I just remember my dad who never talks about music talking about how much he liked the song back when it was popular. I finally found it:
Baz Luhrmann - Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen
