You must be one of them old time Catholic families with that brood. The rhythm method is the reason for SOLA families being as large as they were once before. White folks can't dance worth a shite.

Ha! Yes we're 'Shiite' Catholics. And I love each one of my kids as much as the next. But damn they eat like goats and don't gain a single ounce of weight. I feel like I gain a pound for every bacon slice I eat.

In the oven on one of these bad boys. Bacon stays up on top out of its own grease, grease renders and drips down into the pan for collection

Why in the frick would you "dispose" of well rendered bacon grease?

Ticker problems that limit my saturated fat intake. I still indulge in a few slices of bacon but forego the grease as much as I can.

Skillet - yes, especially if I want or need some bacon fat in my bacon fat storage container out in the garage fridge.

Griddle - Hardly ever because about the only ting I use the (cast iron) griddle for is grilled cheese and Cuban sandwiches.

Cast Iron - yes skillet and occasionally griddle.

Oven - Have done this but not in the past three or six years.

Microwave - Yes I am a microwave bacon cooking fool with three merit badges in microwave bacon cooking - one for thins slice, one for thick slice and one for craft made bacon microwave cooking skill.

Same here. Save bacon grease for cooking other things.

I go back and forth between oven and skillet.

The real reason I buy bacon isn't for the bacon, though. It's for the fat. There is no substitute for cooking with bacon fat, and cooking bacon's the only way I know how to get bacon fat.

Oven on parchment paper in a pan with a lip. Going to try crumpled foil method now though.
