I'm excited about not just pairing him with Vaccaro, but Lewis, who showed he's a legit, shutdown corner last year. That's a huge portion of the field being taken away from teams. It's going to be hard to pass against us.

I agree. We just have to hope these guys stay healthy. If they can avoid extended injuries, these guys can become an elite defense, back and front.

I sometimes just get impressed with the quality of posts around here. There's some knowledgeable as shite whodats that find some interesting stuff. Maybe it's just a higher percentage of those posters vs. in-season? Thanks anyway

Under that same system, Byrd's bottom-line impact is likely to be about 255 yards on the low end (120 coverage yards saved on medium passes, 135 yards on three interceptions) and 390 yards on the high end (120 coverage yards, 270 yards on six interceptions).

Soooo we're giving up negative yards passing this year ?

Just kidding, awesome article.

It's about time people talk about the ever-increasing importance of the safety position in the NFL. For all the hype Sherman gets, it's absolutely their safeties that control games. The combo of Thomas and Chancellor is disgusting. Watching the way they absolutely dictated play twice against Brees and then against Manning was incredible to watch.

KV and JB have a chance to be on that level.

Imagine if Robinson returns to his 2011 form, add Bailey for nickel and dime packages, and rotate White in for situational play. Still draft a CB for 2015 and beyond.

And we still have the luxury of Bush, who allows us to remain versatile with Vaccaro and (if he signs) Bailey.

Blues, you've been around long enough to know that's how it is every off-season, until the draft, which is when all the tards come out in full force.

Then it gets quiet and we can post again until preseason starts and people start talking about how washed up Brees is because he only threw for 42 yards.
