Liberals are all about NOT taking responsibility. Always someone else's fault.

"Mr. Smith is unemployed and can't find a job because he didn't graduate high school. REPUBLICANS FAULT FOR NOT INVESTING ENOUGH TAXPAYER MONEY INTO EDUCATION"

"Jamal shouldn't be sent to jail for 10 years for armed robbery. It is the racist justice system in this country, also who can blame him, the racist businesses in this country don't want to hire blacks so he has to resort to crime to get by"

"Man I defaulted on my mortgage because I did not manage my money correctly. THOSE EVIL BANKS ARE TO BLAME!"

Cognitive Function

Is this like figuring out how to put a square peg in a round hole? I've known a lot of farmers in my life and believe me, they ain't worried about this kind of shite during planting and growing seasons. They have to worry about everything else from the time they get up until they go to bed that will have a bearing on if they make or lose money after the harvest but putting a peg in a hole ain't one of them.

Double dumdass report.

How about renaming the study:

Financial Worry Affects Concentration: a study in the obvious and asinine.

There is nothing in your link that takes IQ into account as an independent variable. Poor people make bad decisions because they are stupid. Bad decisions causes them to be poor.

Stupid people will always be more poor in a free society than smart people.

Obama got re elected, we know.

What benefit does the right have to keep people poor?

What benefit does the left have to keep people poor?

Class dismissed.

pretty much.

Financial stress causes one to make decisions for the short term, and completely disregard the long term. Not really a complicated topic.

You mean poor people make bad choices? Holy shite, why haven't I thought of that before.

Thank you, thank you for the enlightenment.

This cannot be explained by differences in time available, nutrition, or work effort. Nor can it be explained with stress: Although farmers do show more stress before harvest, that does not account for diminished cognitive performance. Instead, it appears that poverty itself reduces cognitive capacity. We suggest that this is because poverty-related concerns consume mental resources, leaving less for other tasks.

A billion years ago, a DNA strand fought against nearly impossible odds to replicate itself. It fought for existence and reproduction in terribly inhospitable conditions against other DNA stands that wanted nothing more than to have the former DNA die out and for its own line to continue.

This DNA strand survived famine, pestilence, dramatic CLIMATE CHANGE and natural selection to fight, claw, and STRUGGLE to become me.

I'll NEVER dishonor that amazing struggle and gift by claiming that decisions are unimportant and that EVERY DNA strand deserves to be valued the same.

frick that..frick them.

I am all for giving an example and encouragement. But, I'll not weep a single tear for the "bad decisions" others make. I believe in natural selection. Sometimes dumb costs one the race.
