Well having superior coaching and talent equals championships, which barbe has none. I could care less about WM but to say Barbe is the new WM is ignorant and not because of the reasons you listed. Sulphur has come closer to winning a championship recently than barbe has. Let that sink in.

Unless Sulphur played for the state championship this year then that statement is completely false. Barbe was in the dome last year and has beaten WM the last two times they've played each other. And the last game wouldn't have been close if it wasn't for the rain. They were also the only team in 5A to give Acadiana (this year's state champs) any kind of a good game. Twice.

1:) Acadiana beat barbe by 10 the second game, and honestly it wasn't even that close of a game.
2:) I said recently as in 2006, they lost by a last second field goal in the championship game. Barbe got beat pretty soundly whenever they made it.
3:) Barbe has had some really outstanding players over the years, including mr fountain. But to say that Barbe is the new West Monroe after 1 state title appearance is borderline retarded. That's all I'm saying. Acadiana has been to the finals 5 times in the last nine years and won 3 of them. Whenever barbe does that then you can start making comparisons.

In the sense that Barbe has better athletes and coaching, and they will continue to go deep into the playoffs and send kids to LSU

I think we will see Barbe run the ball a little more this fall and you will see just how good Collin Fountain is at ALL aspects of O-line play. Glad to see he is getting the accolades he so deserves!
