I was considering starting a thread that would be sort of a defense of Gordon, generally. But I'll hold it for now.

The guy is overpaid, and he did want that Phoenix signing in the beginning. BUT, he was genuinely injured as it turns out, and the suggestion that he was intentionally slacking at the beginning is bogus, imo. Same with the pouting. As we've seen, the guy just has little personality and not outgoing. At the very least, the criticism was overblown.

He doesn't have the consistent explosiveness he did in his second year in the league, but he's played pretty damned well this year overall (again, he's overpaid, but if anyone on this board would turn down the max deal, let me know because I'd love doing business with you). He can play D and can score and has serious skills. It certainly may make sense to trade him, but the guy 's play on the court is not one of our big problems (like every guy, including AD, examples to the contrary can be found at times, but big deal).

And back to the calls, yeah, I've seen him get fricking hammered a lot while the official swallows his whistle.
