Well yeah, but they are both wanting to be dating the same woman. I don't see original Alec running off somewhere to become a hermit once he has protected her. One of them will have to go at some point.
The idea will be particularly in his mind if original Keira really did just up and whack her alternate immediately.

otherwise, a filler episode....glad they wrapped up the mayor thing though, he always bored me.

Anyone still watching?
I'm caught up. Some definite movement in these last two eps.

For those playing along...trying to pick up where we left off and get current.
Episode 4: "Minute Changes"
As Kiera works to free a college student caught in a police cover-up, her perspective on police behaviour is thrown into question. Carlos discovers Liber8's influence reaches right inside of VPD. Alec secures an unlikely ally.

I'm always caught up...I've been staying up late on sunday nite waiting for the latest episode to post
sometimes these filler episodes annoy me, they only serve to move the story along a half-inch
is there some connection between the Freelancer chief and the female chief detective that came in for a half season last year. Or do they just resemble each other?
oh, and Alec needs a good swift kick in the arse, kid's got a shite attitude, I think Carlos is the perfect person to do it. He' got some issues. Speaking of, didnt Carlos and Betty quit the force at the end of last year? Did I miss the part where they changed their mind?

Damn, that's what I'm talking about!

Yeah, but the inheritance that the "good" Alec got could be pretty significant. That and what he keeps learning about Emily. I loved the camera footage of her in the prison!

I'm going to go with them randomly resembling each other. But, you get full credit for calling it, if something does happen with that.

Which one though? Both have their punkass moments

I recall this, but it's not a strong memory. I'm guessing they changed their minds

E04:
Ok, so I figured it out....damn time travel..upon re-watch:
they did quit the force, BUT since the time warp, we're now watching events unfold the week prior to that all happening.
"good" my arse.....he's not good anymore, definitely the evil Alec now that he's met himself. Two very different motives now. I know in the future Sadtech and Piron are still 2 separate companies, I wonder if we're seeing the beginning of that. Good Alec vs Evil Alec. The only thing that bugs me is that their shared experiences are pretty much identical save for about 7 days worth, I would find it odd that they are complete opposites already.
scrap that, 2 different people
While I think the show runners are likely doing a good job of keeping everything in line, the Julian/Theseus storyline is hard to follow. He's a follower, he's a revolutionary, he's apologetic, he's a reformer, Cameron and Carlos are giving him a 2nd chance, they're at each other throats......I cant remember all the things that led up to this with Julian involved, I hate that I need to go back and re-warch all of his scenes again. It feels like they jumped ahead in his character development and didnt really fill in some major holes. Like that entire run of giving him the opportunity to make different choices and prevent him from becoming a terrorist in the future just went for shite. They jumped right smack into "Che Guevara"
kinda wish they had thrown Betty in the slammer, she annoys the shite out of me

Yeah, I hadn't watched ep 4 when I said that...I take it back, I take it alllll back!

Well, when you kill off a main character in the big plan, a lot can happen... But, it is amazing how much different the same week can be!

Yeah, and he even acted like he was laying low for a while...well, I guess until he was back on screen. Then, it's back to the revolution

Exactly! It's like that role is his "destiny"...and whatever measures they take to change it, only make it worse.

I think I've too much before the first two episodes. I can't follow this conversation at all.

Ep 5....
so DoucheAlec is becoming more assholish by the minute....makes me wonder which one survives to be the old man. Because on one hand, that a-hole-quality would seem to be the best trait to get him to rise to power....but almost as if the "nice-guy" Alec is the personality that regrets what he's done and wants to change things.
And then, future Alec owns both Piron and Sadtech? Because that doesnt jive with how the future has be portrayed up until now. Or, since we are seeing this timeline change, maybe we should start to throw out some of those notions, and this is indeed not just another loop. I guess it's easier for me to follow just one timeline that is modified than different versions of the same timeline
Chen is more mysterious than ever, I have a feeling he is going to wind up being the ultimate top-dog good guy who is playing all sides for the good of everyone. The more they don't "trust" him, the more I like his chances to being the key to make everything OK.
I like that Kellog and nice-guy-Alec are starting to team up again, that's a fun duo to watch, and I think Kellog can match wits with anyone. As well as Kiera and Carlos staring to work together again as a team, it makes the show hard to follow when each one is switching motivations like a pendulum back and forth.
My biggest problem is the Travis story....he's with Sonia in the future, he's a soldier, she's the Dr. of the super-soldier program. They're flirting openly, he even asks her out on a date. She is ordered to kill him because the program is being cancelled, she shoots her boss, kisses Travis and they escape....presumably to join Liber8. Then, in this week's flash forward, he's on the run from the authorities, assuming because he's a terrorist, visits his wife and kid, they capture him. Not that it's some inconceivable notion that he's banging 2 broads, but it's just an inconsistency.
I really hope they dont draw out the "who killed Kiera" & "My Two Alecs" storyline till the finale. I'd like them to wrap up those 2 arcs and then launch into the end of the season with some super-clarification of future Alec's true motivation along with a really strong cliffhanger

I have. The last one was kinda weird...it was all a flashback episode. Check back in when you get caught up.
I do like this season, I dig where they have taken everything so far.

caught up over the weekend.....
I guess we're at the crux of the plot twists as things arc towards the end of the season. I wasnt expecting to have to pay so much attention to Chen, but now I guess I should re-watch a bit and see if I can figure out any clues. I started to realize, that of all of Liber8, he was the only one whom we've had virtually zero backstory on, I guess we know why now.
It's so difficult to try and not bridge that gap between My Two Alecs and old man Sadler
At least, up until now, the writers have tip-toed right up to that line where keeping multiple time-travel storylines becomes confusingly annoying from intriguing. I hope they dont muck it up so bad, it starts to collapse in on itself

The overlapping timelines and the two Alecs are already starting to muddle the story up for me.
And now Once Good - Then Bad - Now Not Douche Alec is locked in one of the glass cases of emotion and Suit Wearing - Douche Alec is going to mess shite up because Kiera thinks he's really Good Alec and then she will be all sad because she turned Alec over to The Others.............
See what I mean?

alright - now I'm confused...this Curtis Chen thing needs some clearing up, it's getting worse every week - this guy is the key to the whole thing
when the frick did Kiera go all Jeffersons and move on up?
OK, did NOT see that coming......her character was annoying as the frick, and dont care that she's gone - but her death is going to be the ultimate dividing line. If any character was flopping back and forth about what side they are on, this will push Carlos, Kiera, and Dillon firmly in their respective corners.
I also cant help but think that since things all started, Theseus...isn't turning into Theseus. I predict Julian bows out and Carlos becomes Theseus in this timeline
