Arcade have had different versions of VR for about 15 or 20 years.

I know, Omni or Oculus is the next step.

in a satisfactory or pleasing manner; very well.

I'm wondering the same thing. My impression is that they're a shell of their former self, especially after the departures they've had over the last couple of years.

I'd like to see what a developer like the Fullbright Company could do with VR. A game focused mostly on exploration, like Gone Home, could be really interesting.

They were one of the few divisions within Sony to profit last quarter and the PS4 is still dominating sales. Gaming division is doing fine.

They also need to get Epic to develop for this

Already done. LINK

Well you have the usual suspects in here to rain on the parade. If it was MS announcing it first you would have a thread full of xboxers creaming their collective pants and UH and Galvo trying to ruin their party.

RTR would be arguing the exact opposite and Geaux would be agreeing with everything he said.

What the frick are you babbling about. Me not liking VR has literally nothing to do with my gaming system of choice. I think it is still a ridiculous gimmick at this stage.

Do you consider kinect a gimmick, at this stage?

The original one sure, but not the current one considering I use it every day.

Do you use the motion controls? The main point of the Kinect?

If I had a larger apartment I'd probably use them for Kinect fitness.

Exactly. Recognize and embrace one gimmick but dismiss the other.

Demand and supply will sort it out in the end.

For me I'm more curious to play with new tech that's been teased since the 80's more so than anything else.

From what im reading its using the same tech as the F-18 JHMCS essentially.

In other words. This shite won't work worth a frick. As the famous movie quote goes:

Think VR is cool, however I think it will fail. I would love something like that for Xbox One, I thought the illumiroom was outstanding.

Large, expensive VR will not sell. The Illumiroom was abandoned for price, spending more than $100 on VR will be too expensive as an optional accessory.

If they raised the price of the PS4 and bundled it in, would probably be a massive hit.

Um. It has to start somewhere. You sound really shortsighted.

lol MS fan boy said the same when people bashed the XBONE Kinect

will be interesting to see them bash the PS4 VR thing but praise the MS attempt at something similar.
