I'm surprised that kiefer's voice isn't more gravelly given the fact that he smokes and drinks like the worlds gonna end.

And they're just trying to differentiate Big boss from solid snake.

Wouldn't be surprised if Kojima ends his video game career with solid snake and big boss duking it out.

Nowhere else to go with old snake, that's for sure.

Same here. I've managed to get to the first "cutscene" with Chico and that took me about an hour. The second half of this trek has been rough

I will definitely be replaying this multiple times until I can make a play through without killing anyone or getting spotted.

Am I the only one who's not exactly thrilled about this game? Graphics are great but mechanics seem a little clunky. Hate that there's no radar too.

I don't think MGS has ever really been known for it's mechanics

I agree but I'm just underwhelmed in general with this one. I'm only like 30 mins in and hope it gets better

Plays like every other metal hear out there IMO. I don't see the issue with the mechanics besides interrogating people.

Snake must run a 4 flat 40

Yep,seems I'm the master at getting caught by the guards.

The controls just seem so natural yet sooo damn awkward at the same time?

I need to dedicate more free time to getting accustomed to the controls so I can fully enjoy the game, I can tell it's straight up quality but it is my fault that I haven't yet learned the controls like I need to.

Well, I beat it in about 128 mins. Even though I know this is only a snapshot and wished it was longer, it was a very nice preview of what I can only imagine will be an incredible full game.

Plan on trying to beat the whole thing going completely undetected on hard.

Ok, well I said I beat it and 3-4 more missions popped up. Stoked.

I think it has more to do with a focus on multiplayer, but this game has no multiplayer so I don't know.

That's what I'm inclined to believe also. That, plus developers have been stating that most players don't finish games because they are too long. So they've been shortening them for awhile now to meet the demands of players that may only have an few hours every week to play. Which has meant making multiplayer more enticing to that audience.

Just caught this and I think there is a deeper meaning behind it.

SPOILER

The song that opens Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Here's to you is the last song you hear during the credits of Metal Gear Solid IV: Guns of the Patriots just before it is revealed to the player that Big Boss is alive. Now I know this has happens in game franchises all the time, although I find it odd that we hear it the first time at the end of Solid Snakes adventure and the next time at the beginning of this prologue.

I have a sneaking suspicion, and my timeline may be off here, that this story may come full circle with the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain being the story of when Solid Snake took down Big Boss years ago, told from the side of Big Boss.

I haven't played since 3 and only played 2 besides that, so I'm not really very keen to all the details in the story, but hey, that'd be pretty sweet

I just watched a review video that said the main campaign is about 2 hours long. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

Yes, that's the main mission. When you beat that, it unlocks three other missions with a fourth down the road.

All of the missions are on the same camp, but occur with different objectives and at different times of day.
