Hugo's, Caracol, El Tiempo, La Mexicana, La Guadalupana, Taqueria Laredo, Tacos Tierra Caliente, Bodega's, Taco Keto, Mexico Deli, La Fisheria

Roasted oysters, grilled octopus cocktail, I had the fish of the day with a tomatillo caper sauce, my g/f had a bone in short rib. Her's won. I did see a whole grilled lobster that looked awesome at another table.

Houston's dining scene has really come along in the past 5 years, now if only people could get over the one horse town/Olive Garden stigma of the suburbs...and not the actual fricking city of Houston.

I have a Cuban friend that swears the Cuban taco and Ropa Vieja taco are just like what his grandmother makes.

Sammy's Wild game grill is pretty kickass too...I don't know if you can consider it fast food, but it has a drive thru.
