IMO, each season has outdone the one before it.

Red. I swear I think those things get bigger every season.
It's because she keeps eating more than her allotted caloric intake every year.

I've tried 3 or 4 times to get into this show and just couldn't.

its an acquired taste. it can move very slow...
I find myself checking TD and twitter during some episodes. During BB and other shows my arse is puckered up and I cant look away

It's a tire cliche' I know but many shows/movies aren't for everyone. Some people simply aren't interested in a period drama like Mad Men. It's no reflection on you or anyone else who doesn't like it. It's pretty much all a matter of taste.

The Suitcase (Season 4, Ep 7) is up there as one of my favorite episodes of TV ever.
I want to cry knowing it's coming to an end.

Oh Mad Men. I think Season 4 and and 5 are the best. I also think 6 was incredible, but I know I'm in the minority there. But Mad Men is such a complex and character driven show that I think the more you watch the better it becomes. And that goes for rewatching as well. That's why people like the later seasons more because they know everyone and their relationships so much better.
If you loved Season 1 that much (and Roger) you will only grow to love it more. I'm depressed that it's on its last season. You still have a month to catch up so get to watching!

I liked Season 6 a lot too actually. I think it's interesting to see how much everything and everyone has progressed as the decade moved forward.

This seems to be the consensus of the board.
Bad arse, pumped to see what happens.

Just finished Season 1. I'm pissed that so many people talked me out of watching a show that was literally made for me.

Not sure about that, I thought 6 was really good too. I think most on here did as well
Anyway, OP, keep watching it gets better as you learn more about the characters.

The best thing about Madmen is that it's even better on a second viewing, imo.
The writers plant quite a few things into the show that foreshadow future events.

I binge watched on Netflix and was in real time through Season 4, IIRC. Then, for whatever reason, I missed the start of Season 5.
It wouldn't be the end of the world to try to catch back up. I keep forgetting about it.

I hate my self. Wasted a whole free day watching Mad Men. On Episode 2 of Season 3 now. I love this show. Can't get enough.
