Several people in the comments are saying it was obvious Scarecrow would be the main villain of this next game based on foreshadowing in Arkham City. Anyone know what they are talking about?
Unlike Asylum, I didn't bother getting all of the collectibles in City, so maybe that would've revealed it?

No idea, there were way too many collectables to get them all.

I guess I never got that far in to City, because there were still puzzle mechanics that I had no clue how to work. Like how to do those pressure plates on the wall....I think. I powered up Origins the other day for a few minutes and ran across one of them. No idea what to do.

Looks like they'll finally let us drive the batmobile. Stupid that it took this long.

Scarecrow Easter Egg in Arkham City
I still believe I'm the 1st person to find this, 2 days after release. Came across it by accident.
Basically, it's a ship with a hidden compartment, with barrels, a dead guy, and a shipping manifest inside. Shipping manifest is to a "J. Crane" which is The Scarecrow.

quote:Yes, there were. I know this horse has been beaten but seeing so much Riddler crap all over the city actually broke the immersion for me. I just couldn't picture the Riddler (or his henchmen) climbing up all those buildings and such to set up elaborate contraptions just to test Batman's ability to quickly hit switches. In Asylum I got the feeling all of the Riddler's challenges were the product of his psychosis and being cooped up in Arkham, unable to escape.

Arkham City hadn't even been there that long when the game starts yet there are Riddler trophy's everywhere. It felt very game-y and didn't mesh well with the narrative.

I don't know about the first but I found that too, it was creepy.

I agree, there were too many and it felt too much like a collectible to arse game play time. After a while they weren't fun.

Does this mean it's the last one? That should be interesting to see.

An accompanying video also explains the game takes place a year after the events of Arkham City. Game director Sefton Hill also says, "This is the natural end for the story. We really want to go out in style."

Seems like it needs to end at some point, not sure how much you can do with those games. I wonder what their next venture will be.

You also find Scarecrow's mask on top of that bridge leading to the industrial area. BTW, I did get all the Riddler trophies. It wasn't that bad.

Trailer
The Batmobile looks like a cross between Nolan's Tumbler and the classic Batmobile we've already seen in the Arkham games.
-The game will feature a big open-world Gotham (supposedly bigger than Arkham City's

In the explosive finale to the Arkham series, Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. Batman: Arkham Knight introduces Rocksteady's uniquely designed version of the Batmobile, which is drivable for the first time in the franchise. The addition of this legendary vehicle, combined with the acclaimed gameplay of the Batman Arkham series, offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City. Be The Batman.
