What part of Indian Creek? I've never heard of anybody catching that many in IC in February?

When it's right, it really doesn't matter. Spawning coves off main lake fill with fish.

I hate you.

Ever do the golf/bass trip? Used to get an early tee time this time of year. Play 18, then hit those coves along the course with Senkos. They would be piled up in front of the button woods while golf balls whizzed over. I miss that trip.

I have caught a lot of fish off that island right there! our camp is almost straight across the pocket from it.

I think you are mistaken. That is not an island, it's a point.

That tall group of pines across the little pocket is what I'm talkin about. That island.

Oh. Gotcha. How close is that to Gracie's? I never go that far back.

It is a trailer park on the north side of San Miguel. It is full of buck brush and when conditions are right during the spawn they stack up.

I don't guess I've ever fished there. We catch a lot in the pocket behind that island I was talkin about. But this time of year my favorite place is the pocket on the lake side of the state park.

Lost a double digit bass there last spring I'm still sick about.

Two springs ago I saw two fish over 10 caught within a couple of hundred yards from our place. Those long docks that are in 10-15 ft of water leading into shallow pockets hold fish in pre spawn.
