I'm enjoying your analysis and anxious to see where this one lands when the smoke clears.

LINK

LINK

LINK

First link is their Nigerian holdings. Second link is the testing for oil and gas. Third link is an overview of their entire portfolio of leases, showing scheduled drilling.

This is credited to the moderator of the CAK board over at Investor Hub. He has done a lot of work, and I found this resource yesterday. It is really all publicly available information, but he has made a nice executive overview.

That is the questions I asked earlier.

Pre-dividend, or wait until after the dividend revalues the shares?

I'm never going to give advice about when to buy, and at what price point. I'll say this however, I don't get as caught up in entry price on a stock like this based purely on their financials, and prospects. It is a penny stock, but it has solid fundamentals. If I were chasing a pump and dump, I'd be concerned about price. Here I'm concerned with growth, and potential value to shareholder. I mentioned it earlier. I believe this is a $20 stock, happening right in front of my eyes. When? I'm not a fortune teller. Could I be wrong? Yes.

My cost basis before today was .55. My cost basis after today is 1.09. I hardly ever raise my cost basis.

Iowa Golfer,

When is this dividend to be paid? I'm intrigued and all your research and links have me interested. I will probably wait till my tax return comes in to dabble in this, but it sounds like a nice stock to get into. Just curious when I will see a price fall.

I'm not sure the price will fall after the dividend. If it does, I'm not sure how much. This one is a strange deal. To follow why I think this see the OCC bulletin on how the options will be adjusted.

The ex-dividend/distribution date is 2/24.

Just a little something for everyone looking at this stock to keep in mind. This is oil wells we are talking about and they are not only in Africa but also offshore. Greater expense, greater technical challenges and all the fun of African politics and corruption to boot.

Since my last post BRFH bounced between .55 on the high and .42 on the low. It's a tricky stock, but it hit .82 today. It's 40 week low was .22. I think this is one to watch.
My cost basis is .43

Not being a wiseass but how is your cost basis 1.09 for a stock that has not even sniffed 1.00?

See forward stock split/stock dividend. It was well above my cost basis at that point. The chart you're looking at now is adjusted.

I was thinking the exact same thing reading back on this thread.

IG, what do you think about the news CAK just put out about drilling offshore in Nigera and Ghana? Got to be good right?
