It is always three sets.

What do you mean exactly?

no musical costume. Just three sets of normal phish songs/covers, they can throw in some cool covers and shite, but i'd rather it just be a three set show like new years eve's is.

Disagree. I guess you could say the costume sets don't have best replay value, but I can imagine that they are fun as hell to witness live (especially considering they always choose a classic album).
I will say that the 12.31.13 Set II was much better than 10.31.13 Set II this year.

Exile in '09 was the only one, and I thought it was awesome

Yeah, that definitely has some cringe worthy Mirrors-like moments to it

'96 was probably the best imo

quote:96 or 98 are both great. Like heady said Exile in 09 was decent. I don't really remember the Little Feat set, and haven't really listened to it since then.

94 was cool because of the sheer hugeness of it, and 95 obviously sucked because lolTheWhosux

Yeah, it is between that and '98 as far as costumes go. For sets I & III it is easily '95. Icculus>Divided Sky opener, fricking Harpua, a great Ya Mar, classic '95 hose Antelope, and that HUGE YEM.

Ah, can't believe I forgot that
Although it hurts Danman's argument IMO because Waiting for Columbus, particularly Spanish Moon, Dixie Chicken, and Time Loves a Hero kicked arse.

The '96 Simple in the third set is my favorite jam of any Halloween show
Posted on 6/22/14 at 9:33 pm to danman6336
10.31.95 YEM. Top 3 YEM ever (12.5.95 & 6.11.94 other 2).

Top 3 YEM ever
12/5/95 is the clear cut top one, and then it gets really difficult to pick two other ones

I know that Wolfman's from '98 gets my vote as worst Halloween jam ever
Jesus that jam fricking sucks
