Unfortunately, that is the problem with roto. We will have to figure something out in the offseason. I guess we could throw out the idea of head to head. I still really like a non-keeper auction.

I honestly did not like FAAB as much I thought. It works way better in football.

At least they all paid. I have $700 in my Paypal that I will unfortunately have to dish all of it out again unless my team remembers how to play baseball.

Damn that Nyger has been on a roll. I rooting for ya swam.

Not having daily transaction kills activeness. Set your lineup and check in Wednesday and Sunday night.

yeah I agree with you papz and honk, I think not being able to make daily transactions kills momentum.

thanks, makes sense bc you root for the Rangers, so why not root for another team to let you down.

Nyger did this last year. Jumped from mid table and stole third place I think.

Daily transactions are more fun. I wish we could FAAB closers and do daily transactions for the rest.

WEEI.com's Alex Speier reports that the Red Sox have reached an agreement with Cuban outfielder Rusney Castillo on a seven-year, $72.5 million contract.

Wanted the Cubs to get him. I thought he would go for less.

Nyjer checking in

Luck plays a big part in fantasy baseball. I can't remember how I got lucky last year, but this year I had some incredible luck at the trade deadline. I traded for Adam Laroche on a whim and if I actually researched it I wouldn't have offered the trade. Laroche was mired in a month long slump and everything I read after the trade made me regret it. As soon as the trade went through Laroche went on a tear, currently the 2nd hottest player since the trade deadline.

I'm not a big fan of head to head because all the work you put in during the year can get undone by one bad month at the end of the season.

I wasn't a big fan of FAAB going into the season but I actually think its the fairest way to play the game. VKC I liked your strategy at the end of the draft with FAAB but your execution was lacking. Not paying for saves during the draft was smart, but at the same time you knew you had to be ultra aggressive grabbing closers off the
WW.

You regretted LaRoche for freakin' Feliz afterwards? What?! You had an obvious hole at CI and 5 closers. That was a no brainer. I should have said screw those handful of saves or asked stuck to my guns for Britton.

You buy players for the numbers they're going to give you not what has already happened. I sent him away with 13/55. So regardless of the slump that I took with him, you should easily be able to project the numbers he was going give you. Around 10/30 over two months was easily worth 8 saves or so... which after I thought about it, does nothing for me.

Thanks for the insight. I guess its a different way of looking at evaluating trades. In future years I'll incorporate that into my decision making. I'll continue to better understand FBB the more years I play. So far its been a blast.
