You're better off thinking JJ Watt and 1st rounder for Mallett and they go draft Clowney or whatever else DE rises in the combine.

Please tell me you typed that wrong or I'm reading it wrong

Since when is Andre johnson so important? He compiled stats on a team that was routinely behind 20 pts throwing it 35+ times a game with garbage QBs

He had 109 for 1407 with 5tds in 16 games

There is a bigger picture here and how valuable is a 33yr old WR going into his 12th season these days in the NFL?

What is he worth on the trade market?

Unfortunately I watched a lot of texans games this year and johnson disappeared for long stretches of the games.

Tough to find the exact numbers, but it looks like it costs Houston ~$4m more to trade this season than it does to keep him, so that's something that they'll consider in favor of not trading him. AJ's base salary jumps up to $10m in 2015, so he really doesn't have all that much trade value. Since they're almost certainly taking Bridgewater, and Mallett only has one more year under contract, I think Houston would prefer something like a 5th rounder for AJ over Mallett.

He was 112 for 1598 and 4TDs with Schaub making the pro bowl in 2012

Almost identical production on a 12-4 team as a 2-14 team

I have a hard time grasping how valuable the guy really is with the way the texans are constructed and the way the game is played now

Is he worth a starter? Is he worth a 1st? Or a 2nd or 3rd or 4th rd pick? Once again he will be 33 next season

He made $9.5mm in 2013 and I have not looked up his cap hit but I assume it is significant

I would give one of each of those things for him(i mean each one seperatley)

If you give me another Moss deal even better

Don't think bridgewater is a definite at all

Houston media is all over JFF's nuts right now

The problems were really on defense this year. The offense really fell apart when they went with keenum full time in tank mode. AJ didn't handle tank mode very well

People putting way too much value in a WR who is 33 next yr. I'm sure his contract is something people don't want to take on, but that aside..

3-4th rounder and Mallet for A Johnson
